Frodo Baggins (Lord of the Rings) or Harry Potter (Harry Potter)?
I personally have a definite answer for this one. ;;

Barney. I never knew the voice actor as a kid, so I found Barney's voice absolutely hilarious.
Thanks to Michael Jackson's death, the media sort of regarded her sad, not self-inflicted death as less imporant. Screw them. So, to acknolwedge Hollywood's very sad loss, here's to the angel herself. We love you, Farrah.
Jill Munroe (Charlie's Angels) or Barbara Hutton (Poor Little Rich Girl: The Barbara Hutton Story)?
Wow. I just found out the Barbara Hutton Story aired three weeks after I was born.

ooh, that's a toughie. but I have to go with Numbuh one. For etiquette and manners Numbuh 19th century(c:knd) or Captain Keller(the miracle worker)?

I say this only because Numbuh 19th Century's character wasn't really flushed out a lot (after all, he only had one episode) so just because of that, Captain Arthur Keller. (Might I add in, I admire Victor Jory's work. Good ol' Canadian blood.)
Captain Hook (Peter Pan) or Captain Barbossa (Pirates of the Caribbean)?

Numbuh 86. (I'm guessing you meant Numbuh 362.) I don't know, 362 just seems to lean too far on the "perfect" side for me. It's like the girlfriends of superheroes in superhero movies these days. They're the Barbie dolls of cinema.
Doctor Spock (Star Trek) or Doctor McCoy (Star Trek)?
This came up in a discussion today. XD

Lol.
Spock. I dunno it sounds cooler.
Edward Cullen or Garlic bread.

Garlic bread. Because garlic bread has more personality and emotional depth. (Unless you're talking about an actual character named Garlic Bread or something. If that's a character, and I haven't heard of him, I've been missing out.) Gandalf ( Lord of the Rings) or Dumbledore ( Harry Potter)? Heh. I cheated on this one since I know absolutely nothing about Dumbledore since, well, I've been kind enough to myself not to sit down and watch any of the Harry Potter movies. But anyway, I'm sure there's some sort of similarity between them.

Sherlock Holmes, of course. No comparison. Holmes is the man.
On the topic of detectives...
Elliot Stabler (Special Victims Unit) or Robert Goren (Criminal Intent)?
Both are fantastic characters personified by awesome actors, but I do favour one of them more than the other.
