The two gasped as their newest member disappeared, or just escaped from them. "Numbuh 1, where'd she go?" she asked. "I don't know. But we have to find her. Who knows what she'll do," he replied. They ran together, hoping they could find the girl.

Joel looked at the window again. He didn't know why were they running. It was called running, right? he didn't really know. Penny just walked, just vanished like that to them. He blinked and allowed his face to fall on the glass.

"Penny? Penny?"
The girl was hiding behind the fence. She didn't really know why she escaped from them. She seemed different today, really. Even she noticed it. But before she could continue her walk, she bumped into Hoagie. "Penny, wha..."
She drags him away, covering his mouth.
"What was that for?" he asked.
"I don't know. I just got to hide from Numbuhs 1 and 5."
"Why? Another matchmaking scheme?"
"No. It could be, but not yet. I... just have a mystery in mind."

Hoagie listened. "Mystery?"
Alyssa suddenly heard the word from above her. She loved hearing that word. She looked outside her window and spotted Hoagie and Penny. She might as well join them, running with her duck-covering yellow pajama top and blue jeans. She looked for them, 'mystery?" she said breathlessly.
Running to them and looking at them. Hoagie spotted her, 'better watch out, it might be duck hunting season." He smiled and laughed at his own joke.

Penny started laughing along with him. But the little girl, confused. "That... was... funny?"
"It sure was!" Hoagie exclaimed.
The girl shook her head. "So, what's the mystery?"

Hoagie's face turned pale. "You didn't get it? Because you're wearing duck pajamas and--"
Alyssa shook her head. "Remember? I had to get summer jobs to pay for school." The thought came back to Alyssa. She never told them that. "But it's okay. I mean it's fine." She smiled, then tried to cover herself with her arms. "I sleep with my tops sometimes but not pants." Her smile widened. "It's kinda weird I know."
Hoagie shook his head. "Nothing's weird in the KND!"
Alyssa smiled. "Thanks," then her eyes turned serious. "What's the mystery now?"
