I remember Cowboy Bebop. I loved it the first few times it aired. I got kinda bored with it after it replayed 123,456,789 times but I still like it. EDIT: *twitch* Am I weird for wanting to see the next season of Pokemon for the soul reason that May isn't there? I know that was random, but still... Well, as long as you don't go into character-bashing mode... Speaking of Pokemon, even though almost every episode is similar and Ash starts over every generation, I still like the show. I can't wait for the new season to begin this summer (the eps that will appear this April is a preview of the season). I'm interesting in seeing Dawn's (Hikari's) Buneary and especially Pachirisu. Have you seen the Youtube clips of those two? I almost died from cuteness.

Well, you can get bored with anything THAT many times. I've seen it once, including the movie, since I got the series from Netflix. I just loved it so much. T-T
Made even better by the infamous Man-Faye cosplayer. XD

wow, i cant believe i havent been here yet.
well, i am a real big anime fan (my myspace is currently being swamped in it) and well, ive got heaps i watch/have sitting in the lounge room.
well, i have: Ranma 1/2(english and Japanese) Naruto series (over 200 eps, Japanese version) Bleach(Japanese) Neon Genisis(Japanese) Dear S(Japanese) Chobits(Japanese) One Piece(Japanese) Final Fantasy 7 movie (Japanese and English version) Hack Sign(Japanese) a few Yugioh dvds in english Saliormoon movies in english and others i assume most have never heard of
and if you want something different, i sugest Futari wa Pretty Cure....that i find quite interesting and yet strange at the same time. My cousin and I were thinking of cosplaying the girls in it for our December anime convention. Yes, im real big on the cosplay too....I went as Yuna from FF10 last year, this year its Nagisa from FWPC(above) and Temari from Naruto.

I liked One Piece the manga but I stopped buying it after the Black Cat Pirates arc. Maybe I should start on it again. Keep reading, the really brilliant parts (mainly Sanji's introduction and Nami's backstory) are yet to come. In fact, the whole thing gets better and more interesting with each arc; if you can get past the fact that it's cartoony and silly of course. I've never really felt like watching My-hime. It's got a really annoying fandom that kind of ruined it for me, plus the 'large-eyed schoolgirls blowing stuff up' genre never appealed to me. This one might be different since it's shonen, but from what I've seen it's a largely uninteresting show. At least that's my opinion. Also, just watched a bit of Elfen Lied since that's one of the really popular mainstream animes (even got mentioned on a well known sci-fi website apparently). Sweet Christmas, what the *hell*? I don't mind the graphic gore and stuff (it can add to a show if it's well done like Samurai Champloo), but combining ridiculous amounts of gore with fanservice is really creepy. I mean, having schoolgirls get ripped to bits while trying to look 'cute' all seems like one big necrophiliac fetish. And why the hell did the main character piss all over the floor for no real reason?

Ooh, I know all about that; that same friend of mine is a big OP fan and he has seen subs/scans of the latest arcs. I'm really missing out! I think the reason I stopped at the Black Cat Pirates was because it was the latest volume at the time. Then I started getting really busy in RL stuff. The fact that it's shonen but female characters are the main protagonists interests me. And let me guess, you were driven from fandom because of shipping, right? Shipping drove me out of A LOT of fandom and, as I said, turned me a bit sour on the fandom's source (Gundam Wing, Harry Potter, and soon Kingdom Hearts, off the top of my head). I heard of Elfen Lied, probably even seen screenshots of it. I wish I didn't.

The best part about Anime and Manga: conventions.
I'm thinking about getting a table at Artist's Alley this year (it's just a small con, though).
I'll need to draw that comic I've had on the backburner for months, and think up some other merchandise. Bookmarks, maybe?

You're trying to draw a comic too, Suki?

Trying? Define trying.
If you mean already have the script written and looked at by someone I don't know, edited to be better, characters designed, thumbnails doodled, and only the final drawings needed to be complete, then yeah, I'm trying.

Gravitation... why did the artist just have to make the main character adhere to *every* homosexual stereotype out there? Crossdressing? Check. Annoying stalker? Check. Pink hair? Check. I mean seriously, wtf? It's like making a shoujoai anime about females that resemble motorcycle riding lumberjacks. ... Oh wait, Utena. Actually, in the manga he has black hair, then dyes it blonde, then back to black. There was no pink hair.

That's Anime for you. They add color to everything. Mangaka are generally less silly than that.

Thank goodness. I don't get it..with Fushigi Yugi, the manga had everybody with normal hair - black, blonde, I think someone was a brunette, and red hair (I know that's rare for Japanese people, but still...it's a normal color)...then you get to the anime and they give Chichiri blue hair...??

Probably so you can tell the characters apart more easily.
Thank God they didn't do that in Ouran or Wallflower. A few redheads, but that's as weird as it got.
