Perfect Girl Evolution is good if you want something a little different. Bishie boys living with a single girl, only the girl is... not girly. She thinks she's ugly because of what a guy she liked said 3 years ago, and is scary. The lights dim and flowers wilt when she walks by. She loves horror movies (I can relate ^^), and beautiful "creatures of the light" give her nosebleeds. She is so gonna end up with the most prettiest guy who's also something of a jerk. But she's a better fighter than him and goes head to head just fine, until he gives her a nosebleed. ...Isn't that Wallflower? Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge? (Pardon me if I got the Japanese part wrong.)

'Kay
Y'know, I didn't realize at first that Nabeshin (of Excel Saga and Nerima Daikon Brothers fame) was a part of that show. I thought that was kinda cool when I found out. Anywho, I was plannin' on getting the DVDs for it. Cursed anime licensing companies love raping my wallet. -_-;

NGE... Neon Genesis Evangelion? I haven't seen it either. I haven't seen a lot of the anime that's pretty much "required" to watch.

Yup, Neon Genesis.
I think you hafta REALLY love mechas and all the technical stuff to really enjoy what that show has to offer.
Don't worry Cap 'n Veg, I've watched bugger all anime too. I watch all the stuff that not many people hear of, then suddenly becomes this popular thing.

o.O Wow... That was... Kikko-tastic? XD
I fell in love with a new anime this week! Anyone heard of 'Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro'? It's about a demon from hell and this girl who solve mysteries together. It's really funny, but also really gory. Plus, the characters are amazing, I love them all, even the insane homicidal maniac that is the main villain. <3

Haven't seen that, I'm afraid, but I just found a two hour block of anime on a channel...maybe our switch to satellite isn't all bad (though I still greatly miss my Nicktoons network. *sniffle*). I watched Yu Yu Hakusho for the first time in ...gosh, 5 or more years yesterday because of that channel. That made me happy.
Also, I *will* be going to Anime expo again this year. I decided, and my friends said they would love to have me along, so...yay! I'm gonna cosplay as Akane from Ranma 1/2 and Akane from W Juliet...any suggestions for other short haired girls? (or feminine pretty boys with short hair)?

*bump*
You won't be hearing from me after this post.
I cannot get into manga for anything. But, after finding out about one particular manga on Fandom Wank...
I spent my morning reading Hellsing.
The story, when it gets to the Nazi part, is ridiculous, and it's awfully gory, but the characters drew me in.
Plus Alucard as a Cerebus-like hound from hell was something else.

Does Avatar count as anime? If not, then I don't watch/read manga/anime. But I did watch a Japanese-animated film called "Totero". It was a bit confusing at first, but then I enjoyed it.
I also saw "Howl's Moving Castle" That was even more confusing. My cousin had to explain it to me like three times before I understood it.

Ghibli. That's the studio. Hayao Miyazaki is the one who makes the movies.
