SPOILERS!!! maybe the offical ending is the default one(krystal running off and joining starwolf) or maybe it will take bits and peices(slippy marries amanda, one kid joins new starfox with fox's son while krystal is missing or something like that.) END OF SPOILERS!!!!

Nintendo pretty much ruined Starfox's plotline by forcing Rare to add their characters to Dinosaur Planet, in my opinion. Not only did they add Krystal to Starfox canon, but they ruined an otherwise innovative and amazing action/adventure game which just might have been Rare's best work so far.
I think they should just stop having second/third party developers work on their original franchises and start putting some effort into their games. Hell, Zelda and Mario Galaxy are the only franchises Nintendo are working on these days without any help. I don't even feel like buying Starfox Command; the free flight mode was fun in SF64 when used in moderation. A whole game based around it, without any rail gameplay (which the original Starfox games helped revolutionise) is just silly.
A Wii Starfox game, developed by Nintendo themselves with some actual effort put into it, would be awesome. And by "effort" I mean both innovative gameplay AND good graphics. The Wii is a bit more powerful than the original Xbox, and so far every Wii game I've seen doesn't even look half as good as, say, Shadow of the Colossus. Which ran on supposedly "weak" PS2 hardware. And some new gameplay, as opposed to Starfox 64 controlled with the Wiimote. As much as I like the Wii's controls, it's not going to make 9 year old gameplay seem "new".
Gah, sometimes I wonder why I still consider myself a Nintendo fan.
