I voted Sonic and Tails, but that's only because I grew up with a Genesis instead of an NES/SNES.
Other duos you could have put on here are Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, Toejam and Earl, Ryu and Ken, and Terry and Andy Bogard (and possibly throw in Joe Higashi).

I voted Ash and Pikachu. You see, I had a lot of fun playing those Pokemon games years ago on Gameboy... Yesh, I wanted to vote Mario and Luigi as well, but I decided i liked pokemon better.

I voted Ash and Pikachu. You see, I had a lot of fun playing those Pokemon games years ago on Gameboy... Yesh, I wanted to vote Mario and Luigi as well, but I decided i liked pokemon better. Wow. Your the first person Ive met thats a Mario Bros fan AND Pokemon fan. Most Mario fans I know hate pokemon.  Im one of em. |

Mario and Luigi, definetely, Tails is just annoying. The only game where he was actually useful and cooperative was Sonic 2. In S3K he just absorbed all enemy shots, he only helped Sonic during one of the bosses. In SA1/DX he was too emo and in SA2 he just looked like a retard in that stupid walker of his. As for Ash and Pikachu, ash just sits there getting all the credit while poor Pikachu gets beaten up. Really, Pokemon should revolt  As for others, what about Rachel and Jake from advance wars? Also, Juno and Vela from Jet Force Gemini. |

The little twerp stands there telling Pikachu what to do. Meanwhile, the little yellow rat is gettin the crap beaten out of him. I dont really if the pokemon revolt though. I played it for a while and it was okay but it didnt really amuse me to much. That was the last time I saw him. He died later that year.  On my 10th birthday that year I bought Super Mario 64 with the $50 i got. Over time, I bought some of the other Mario games he had (Mariokart 64, Super Smash Bros, etc) and ever since then Ive been hooked on Mario and Luigi. So whenever I play a Mario game I think of him. I still miss him though. |

I voted for Mario Bros. I'm completely out of Pokemon, and have never really played Sonic.
But I'd rather choose Fire Emblem or Zelda characters.
