2D vs 3D arguments (NO flaming) Just wanted to emphasize that part. Actually, I think it's better not to call it arguments but preference. And you know, it IS possible to like both (I do anyway).

EEEEK! ZEEEEEEELDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Did you hear about the New game? Zelda: The Twilight Princess? Yeah, looks fun. Though apparently the game is targeted at the American crowd, hence the realistic graphics and "mature" elements. I REALLY hope they won't turn Zelda into a Prince of Persia 2-like game. Also I'll miss the cell shaded graphics of WindWaker. Plus Child Link was great. I loved the way he reacted to different situations, and he made WindWaker a great and even funny game. TP's Link is just your average "Badass" a**hole game hero. At least it happens before Wind Waker so they can't ruin the story. Storyline aside, the game looks awesome.

Iguana, you're my hero! Why hasn't anyone made a thread like this already?!
I'm glad to know someone else liked the cell-shaded graphics. All of my gamer buddies say it ruined the game, but I disagree. I'm all about the storyline. Where'd you hear about the timeframe of the game? I so can't wait for Christmas!

I REALLY hope they won't turn Zelda into a Prince of Persia 2-like game. I assume you're referring to "Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within," and not "Prince of Persia II: The Shadow and the Flame" (though I'm imagining many people here probably didn't know that there were PoP games before The Sands of Time). Personally I don't see how Zelda could become that type of game. It and PoP are just totally different styles. But that they're trying to aim it at an American audience worries me, considering that the game will be made by Japanese fans regardless and they usually have a very skewered look at what Americans want.

Zelda Wiki and various other sites and interviews. wiki.zeldauniverse.net/index.php?title=Category:Zelda&Itemid=434Yeah I loved the cel-shaded graphics. About Zelda becomine a PoP: WW-like game I meant the whole 'mature' thing. Zelda+tits and gore=bad. I mean some innuendos here and there are funny but let's not get overboard.

Well, I've personally never played any Prince of Persia game, so the only thing I have to go by are the webcomics, and those aren't very helpful... especially Scotty's "Jingle Jangle" and "Pants of Time." But I agree on the "tits and gore" sentiment. In general, Zelda tends to be a fairly family friendly game, but if you added those features, I know I personally wouldn't want my sister playing it, and I'd feel incredibly awkward playing/watching my dad play it. And as I said in my previous post, I'm about the storyline because I think Zelda's legendary (no pun intended) plot action is one of the things that sets it apart from other members of its genre. I can't help but think if it took the "mature," turn it would detract from the story.

I hope it has the same kind of humour as the other games. It's not exactly funny, but it's endearing.
My sister likes to come up to me at random intervals and say "We have to get Twilight Princess." This is apparently because Link turns into a wolf.
So, what's everyone's favourite game? Mine is Ocarina of Time, which is also the first game I played. Then I laughed at the clueless people who were referring to the then upcoming Majora's Mask as "Zelda 2."

Is it true that there are cows inbedded into the walls of Jabu-Jabu's Belly in the Master Quest?

Don't you love newbies? ^__^ I would have to, at this moment, say the original Legend of Zelda on the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Is it true that there are cows inbedded into the walls of Jabu-Jabu's Belly in the Master Quest? Yeah, and you can shoot them to open doors. Can't be arsed to take a screen tough.

Heh, the Chick-Fil-A mascots would have something to say to Jabu-Jabu: "Eat Mor Cuko." (as the Kakariko cucco lady beats the pulp out of ThuhJesheekuh) Which reminds me: you know you play too much Zelda when you and your sister refer to KFC as Kakariko Fried Cucco. ;D\m/
