Any one who's played morrowind on the pc and....the x-box know how great a game it was,now the game oblivion is coming out.To best describe it its like an on-line game but single player,You can explore the lands vistit many towns and villiages and it really really looks real. The plants on the ground and the forests in the..a..forests grow.People live out there daily live such as wake up.have breakfast,go to work, have lunch, shop, dinner, pratice spells or fighting or even cookery or potion making what not--Example he programers of the game were testing it and went to a bar in the game, they discoverd that the whole village went there for lunch,The local poor man didint have enough so he went around pick pocketing to buy his meal--Thats the type of ai that should be in a game. They diding programe it for that scenario the ai did it it's self. www.elderscrolls.com/games/oblivion_faq.htm this is the faq for it

*Sigh* I would get it. I was into Elder Scrolls back when Daggerfall (The second game in the series) was new. As it is, my PC won't run Morrowind and I don't have an X-Box.

I didnt like morrowind because it had n64 graphics. That is the stupidest reason not to like something I've ever seen.

I am going to buy Oblivion, although I fear it. Morrowind took away a year and a half of my life, and Oblivion with all of its improvements will consume me.
But what a way to go, eh? ;D

I fail to see how Morrowind resembled an N64 game in any of those regards. The version I saw (on a friend's PC) ran very smoothly and had details and colors that wouldn't be possible on the N64.

Really. Well my friend must have had a bad graphic card then. Is it for the xbox or just the PC.

I can vouch from personal experience that Morrowind had (for the time it came out) gorgeous graphics. And they haven't aged all that bad either. So, yeah, it must have been a really bad graphic card.
Oh, and I just remembered that Patrick Stewart is doing voice acting for this game. You know, this game just might make me flunk a semester or two.
So...what's the highest character level you got to in Morrowind (without cheating)? I got to level 104...

General Arsenault: Morrowind is available for both the X-Box and PC. And yea, probably just a bad graphics card. That can make all the difference. On my old-school gaming PC (an AMD-K6 that runs at 500 MHZ) I used to run Half-Life without graphic acceleration... it looked very pixellated and blocky. Then I got a new video card and ran it in OpenGL, and suddenly it looked better than the PS2 version.
Numbuh 0xFF: I'd love to answer your question, but I don't have any computers capable of playing Morrowind (though I do have the game itself... a friend of mine ended up with two copies so he gave one to me).

And people look quite nice (the animation was a bit flat however). I can't wait for Oblivion. The graphics I've seen are...unreal. A fellow geek frend of mine looked at videos and said in an awe-filled voice "Reality, version 2.0" ;D I have to say I agree. Also the new massive AI system is someting I feel I could learn to enjoy.
And plus it has Patrick "Picard" Stewart doing the voice acting. That settles it, the developers of this game are out to get me!
