The controls for the DDR seems pretty basic, but when you get to the solo version of the game, it could be basic for some started DDR players until they figured it out how they do it. It has diagonal arrows near to the left and right arrows.
I'm not much of a Dance Dance Revolution solo version player, I just like what Bemani did on all the mixes from the 1st to the 8th.
Besides having an arcade, you could download Stepmania, get a PS2 controller to PC controller converter and get a dance pad that you can play in your own computer. I tested on the first concept they did with a no-slip zipper pad, it didn't get to work. You might have to get an expensive realistic dance pad they did from the online music game store, mostly from ddrgame.com and probably will cost 200 to 300 dollars. The ones with bar handles are on sale, but more expensive than without bar handles.
Last night I was playing DDR Extreme in Hanford, Cali and I kept playing it for a long time and I lost balance on playing it. I'm just trying to get better, so the crowd would look at me.
