I like a few shooters, while others stress me out.

I like all old-school genres, except sports to some extent.
I tend to gravitate towards RPG and Strategy games, but on some phases I'll branch out towards adventure, side-scroller, or FPS.
Master Chief has nothing on Duke Nukem ^__^.
But you oughtta see me when I go on an Old vs. New rant.
"What? What's this Halo junk? You can only have two weapons at a time? What rubbish is this? In Heretic and Duke Nukem 3D, you could have EIGHT weapons at a time, and you had INVENTORY ITEMS too! Man, today's games are SUCH a step backwards!"

And in multiplayer that would be too cheap.

They are focusing more on combat reality. And in multiplayer that would be too cheap. My example was semi-joking. But as for it being "too cheap," what part, being able to carry a total of eight weapons or having inventory items? Personally I didn't feel either hurt the games really, in fact some of them were really, really fun. In Heretic, there was a magical egg which you could use to turn enemies into chickens. You can just imagine the reaction to that! ^__^ Duke 3D had an item called the Holoduke, which allowed players to put up a holographic version of themselves, to lure players into traps and catch them off guard. Again you can imagine how that went ^__^ "Ahh, found him... WHAT? Why aren't my rockets working? OMG HE'S A HOLOGRAM!" And finally... both Heretic AND Duke 3D had an item that allowed the player to fly ^__^ (for a limited amount of time, but still).

Well Halo is getting kind of old. Almost old enough to be an old school game except for its release date. Right now i am playing star wars battlefront. Anybody play rogue squadron for n64?

I recently downloaded (yes, I know that's illegeal) Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Master System. I used to play it all the time at after-school care. As well as Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Donald Duck: The Lucky Dime Caper.
I remember most people couldn't get past the third zone, and I can see why. Robotnik is hard in the jungle. I also remember that it was beaten exactly once when I was there. I loved the credits music. I beat it today and I still love the credits music. Wow.
The music for the Bridge Zone is also cool.

Shwoo gets points for even bringing up something as obscure as the Sega Master System. ^^ And yea, the MS Sonics were hard.... but you oughtta see how the difficulty got punched up when they were ported to the Game Gear. Smaller screen = bigger problems. BTW, if you have a Gamecube, I hear all the Master System Sonic games are included on Sonic Adventure 2.

Apparently it did a lot better over here than it did in the States, apparently. I had to look up exactly what it was called on the internet.
The first few zones were pretty easy, but the Sky Base zone was really hard.
I have a Gamecube, and I didn't know that the Master System Sonics are in Sonic Adventure 2. I'll need to get that game now.

Did you ever own a Sega CD?

BTW, if you have a Gamecube, I hear all the Master System Sonic games are included on Sonic Adventure 2. No, but in Sonic Adventure DX they have unlockable Game Gear games, which are basically the same as the MS ones only with small screens.

Now we've got four) The Sega CD was a device that could be connected to the Sega Genesis, allowing it to play Cd-based games. There was a Sonic game released exclusively for this system called Sonic CD which is often considered the best game in this series (I hear they're finally re-releasing it for either the Gamecube or the PS2, BTW).

I'm an Old-School gamer. I still own a SNES and a 3DO. The First games I ever played were Doom and Wolfenstein. In fact I still own Wolfenstein for my PC and my 3DO.
