is it more like fable or pokemon in the way you play I have never played Fable (either of them) so I wouldn't have any idea which one it's "more like." But it's definitely a bit different from Pokemon. In Pokemon, you attack and have a choice of four attacks to choose from, all of which can only be used a limited number of times and have to be refilled at Pokemon Centers. In Final Fantasy, all characters have a normal physical attack which they can use all the time, and it can be either strong or weak depending on the character and their equipment, but characters also have a range of special abilities that they can use which are typically stronger or more useful in some way than a normal attack, but also tend to be limited somehow. The most common way of accomplishing this is via Magic Points (MP)--You cast a spell, and it takes a certain amount of MP, and if you don't have enough MP then you can't cast the spell. Granted, there are exceptions (Shadow's ability to "Throw" things in FF6, for example, is essentialy unlimited as long as Shadow has something he can throw, and Kain's "Jump" command in FF4 is can be used as much as you want) but they're few and far between. Really, Final Fantasy tends to be a pretty straightforeward RPG series. Hope that, ummm... helps?

Yep. There was this one and then there was this one. The two "Fables" have absolutely nothing to do with each other, by the looks of it.

Ya I can see the old one got a low score. Yep. Not sure if I would trust the score or not. I tend to disagree with most game sites on these things. Anyway, back to the topic of Final Fantasy....

I wouldnt trust game sites if they said a game was bad but I would if it said it was good.

I liked FFX, I especially thought Blitzball was a lot of fun. I'm currently playing X-2, but am stuck with certain parts. Does anybody know if it's possible to beat the Al Bhed Machina weapon or the desert monster without a Black Knight dressphere? I have FFX and FFX-2 and I am still trying to beat FFX-2. WeBuiltThisCity: It is possible. But is very hard to. It took me an half hour to beat him with Paine and Yuna as the black knights and Rikku as an alchemist. I'm stuck on the guradian monster who is guarding the front gate to Venganon.

I wouldnt trust game sites if they said a game was bad but I would if it said it was good. Isn't that kind of a contradiction?

RPG's are fun! I forgot one that was awesome......the one where the guy was a dragon and you meet a guy with a leopard tail and his friend and a professor with a mole.........OMG, i have such a sucky memory! The guy was a dragon? Hmm... Breath of Fire? That's the only one I can think of. Anyway, on topic, ummm... ummm... I'm playing FFX-2, having beaten FFX at last. Huzzah! FFX-2 is okay, but I don't really like the battle system. It's kind of aggravating that you can't equip a secondary class like you can in FFT and FFV (I think? haven't actually played the latter). Also FFX-2's music isn't as good. The music in FFX was so sad and lonely, it often made me a little depressed. The music of FFX-2 is kind of blah and really doesn't invoke that many feelings in me at all. I really miss the Zanarkand Ruins music. *looks at my old post* Hm, I keep mentioning music. ;;;

*looks at my old post* Hm, I keep mentioning music. ;;; That's because music is one of the most important parts. It's one of the ninety-thousand reasons the first six Final Fantasy games were far better than Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, and both the 10s. *Looks back on my old posts* Wow, I'm really bent on the whole "the older games are better than the new ones" point, aren't I? ^__^

Another shortcoming of X-2 compared to X was in Blitzball. I hate the new way of playing where you have no control over your players. I always end up shouting to the screen, "No, no! Forward! Forward! Pass TOWARDS the goal!" On the original, I could go undefeated with the original Besaid Aurochs lineup, who was the weakest in the beginning (or at the most, switch Ropp in with the defender who didn't develop). I could make Tidus and Letty alone carry my team. Now, improvement is based not on in-game play, but some weird point-allocation system and injuries to your players you all of a sudden have to watch out for.
