Shadow The Hedgehog Video Game!!!

I just think Sonic Team is getting desperate. And also, it seems like it's going to be like all the other games (Which not a lot of people liked) except the main character will have a gun. That's it.

And Sonic has always been all colorful and cartoony. Why would they stoop down to giving one of those characters a gun? I mean...What kind of message are they sending to children? That since Shadow has a gun and is going around shooting things, it must be ok? And also, I think it would have been cooler to give Shadow some kind of dark powers other than a gun.

Knowing shadow is all powerful with his chaos control and all that (saying this from a position of one who's played hardly any sonic games), can't he, like... shoot energy or something? I think that a gun is a sign of weakness - one needs a machine to defend themselves. He's supposed to be the ultimate being, right? He's supposed to KILL guys with guns, and look so cool because he doesn't have one. I think the gun is just a pop culture thing - cause' guns are cool!

I think it would be cooler if he could catch bullets fired at him, and then shoot them with his powers. A gun is... so... demeaning. It promotes a gangster style of toughness, and, well, I just can't see shadow rolling up in an escalade with a couple o' bishes.

But anyway...I think this game is gonna be just as unpopular as the rest. And in the future, we'll look back on this and say "Remember when they gave Shadow a gun? Yeah, that was really stupid."

Yes. The whole gun thing really pisses me off. I am an old school fan of Sonic, and this is really demeaning to the whole series. They're trying to be "kewl" and crap. See, besides the idiotic fangirls, this is why I hate Shadow.

Anyone who has played the original Genesis games should be disgusted with this.

Shadow uses a gun? Wow what a cornball. He has all this speed and uses a gun? So he was trying to say he shoots a piece of crap at sombody and it blows them up.

Well, Shadow is sorta like an Anti-Sonic, so I guess there's a MINOR excuse for him using a weapon.

Still doesn't mean he NEEDS a blasted gun, though. Especially when he already has super speed, can mow down enemies with a Spin Dash, and can use the power of the Chaos Emeralds...

This is kind of off-topic, but... I've lost all respect for the Sonic Team. Not only are they making the Sonic series worse, but they also bought out a company called Compile, took Compile's most popular game (Puyo Puyo), removed all the original characters except the main character, added a new cast of much less interesting characters, and then made a new game called Puyo Pop Fever, which is just... ugh.

NOT TRUE. Yes, I'll admit, the fangirls are VERY annoying (Hi, I'm Shadowfan123!!) and it's not a good fit comparing it to the Sonic universe of saving birds from robotic bees, but you're conclusion jumping. It's not just a gun, either: it has lots of various weapons (some kinda si-fi), kind of like Ratchet and Clank. And, hey, R&C had cute furries, right?


But why the weapons and darkness? Yuji Naka himself once said he wanted Sonic to appeal to ALL audiences, and he's making this one just for the older people. Not to mention that it's a spin off and has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OTHER SONIC GAMES, WHICH WILL REMAIN THE SAME.

That's my rant.

Weither it has "anything to do with the Sonic games," it is still a Sonic game. While games can change their appearance a bit and/or try something new to appeal to more people, a game series has something that I'd call a "reputation." Sonic's reputation is a brightly-colored fantasy world in which a single hedgehog can destroy a giant robotic machine. If you're going to bring about this game with a dark, spooky city world requiring guns and various 'dark' weapons and call it Sonic, you're going to expect people to turn their nose up on it or laugh at the idea.

If something like this happened in the Mario series (some character totting around a gun and is going to fight in a DARK EMO world), then I'd wonder what was wrong with Miyamoto. Don't expect us to not wonder what is wrong with Sonic Team.

And there were rumors floating around a few years ago about "Super Mario Moonshine", a game that was announced by Nintendo in which there is GTA level adult content. And I wanted to know Miyamoto's sickness myself....

He also shoots humans. And Moonshine was false thank god. Conker's BFD was fun, but a mature Mario game would suck. And according to an interview, Shadow the Hedgehog should "appeal to all audiences". That doesn't surprise me since Rouge's breasts bounce in SA2.
