Ignorant mindsets control the outlook upon it, meaning that games LOOK better but end up getting worse and worse every year. Not true. There are some pretty awesome games coming out, so I argue against you're logic. The games get better and better because there are new, better ideas for games, and gaming programmers learn from their mistakes. And I'm not saying that 2D games are bad. I have every Game Boy system ever made and I have a ton of great games for them. I'm just saying that it's gonna be cool to be able to play 3D games without having to sit in front of a TV all the time. It will be cool to play 3D games on the road, also.

*Smacking forehead* No offense... but personally I believe that people who think graphics make a good game are downright ignorant. Honestly, I DESPISE the anti-2D trend in the gaming industry. Too many people think that having 3D graphics automatically makes a good game, even though there's been just as many bad 3D games as there have been bad 2D games. That's the problem... people today don't care how good a game is, they just think "WOW ITZ COOL AND IT'S IN THREE-DEE OMG IT'S THE BEST GAME EVAR!!!" Ugh. Honestly, I hope the gaming industry crashes and burns. Ignorant mindsets control the outlook upon it, meaning that games LOOK better but end up getting worse and worse every year. It's just like how movies are becoming more and more pretentious. Okay... I think I'm done with the soapbox now. I see what you mean, James. A majority of the gaming industry always had an issue with graphics. I've read many reviews on the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, and most of the reviews degraded it because of the NES graphics. Personally, I try not to judge a game entirely over graphics. The gameplay is what matters. And I'm sorry for going off topic.

Hm, this looks like it won't be good. (eyes the Lock Thread button) Don't!!! I'm not even debating or anything, I'm just stating all the cool features about GBA DS. (And all the bad features about PSP. Believe me. There are a lot.)

No no no. He thinks that I'm one of those people who think games are better because they have better graphics, but I'm not. And if that's true, then I believe he just called me ignorant.

It's just that the whole 2D vs. 3D thing is one of my touchy spots and I do intensely dislike people who value graphics over gameplay. Forgive me for alloting you with those kinds of people. Personally, I don't think 2D should be totally abandoned. The side-scrolling platform game is still one of my favorite genres, and sometimes I want to just walk around on a flat world instead of navigating a fully 3D one. In terms of classic franchises, IMO some of them just plain don't make the jump to 3D all that well. Legend of Zelda, for example. The NES one is so fun that I always come back and play it once every couple of years or so. But I tried to re-play the Nintendo 64 ones just recently, only to find that those ones are good to keep around only if I have problems with insomnia. In fact, I think I've only really enjoyed a few 3D games... James Cameron's Dark Angel, DBZ Budokai, and King's Field being the only ones I can think of off the top of my head (and perhaps some of the Armored Core games). *Shrug* But that's just me.

No, actually, the DS is smaller because it's foldable. I've got a pic of it right here! I've got like 3 magazines that discuss the good and bad things about DS and PSP, so although you may have seen one screenshot of it, take a closer look, because it's not bigger. If you ask me, the PSP is too long. It wouldn't even fit in your pocket! It would be sticking out! Plus, DS is wireless and it's touch screen allows you to draw pictures and send them to you're friends. Can you give me a link? So I can prove if it's small or big.

Wow, I'm impressed. It has a dual screen. But I'm not getting that anyhow. I'm getting a PSP. I want to play GT4 on that one.
