While Lizzie was overbearing, I find that if it weren't for the GKND, maybe they would have wound up breaking by around... I dunno, Jr. High, High School? Not sure, just my opinion.

Yeah, Lizzie was really overbearing and she just didn't seem like the ideal girlfriend for Numbuh 1 but that's just me

I always thought that Lizzie had matured throughout the series... The reason why she's overprotective is because she loved Nigel so much. Letting go of someone you love is one of the hardest things ever imaginable.

Yeah, but considering what she told him when she broke up with him, it didn't seem like she entirely loved him too much :/
I can (or would, if not for the GKND) see them getting back together in the future, though. :3 There's at least a chance of that. o3o
now that I don't blindly hate Lizzie anymore, though, I'm kind of upset since I know the real thing that caused them to break up. Pardon my language, but... damn that GKND. >:c

In my opinion, I could see them breaking up around the fifth grade or early middle school. They were never serious. I had plenty of friends that had boyfriends(to think I only hung around with girls in elementary school. ha! my closest friends are guys now, but I still have tons of girls in my circle of friends)around the fourth grade. Actually I had a friend that had a boyfriend in the third grade and they broke up after a couple of months. He gave her papers that said "I love you" and wild flowers. She claimed that he always dragged his friends around where ever they went, and she couldn't be in a relationship with a guy that took his friends everywhere. Most people that have a romantic relationship where they go on dates in the fourth grade don't last long, because one of them will see a guy or a girl that catches their eye. Numbuh One and Lizzie had a special type of relationship though. In my research, I view it as Lizzie not having any other boy that suits her taste, so she has Nigel. From what I viewed, Nigel is a gentlemen, and there's not many of that type around at their school. I just wish that they showed more of Nigel/Lizzie's personal relationship so I could examine more. Nigel was a lady's man but he hid it. When out with Lizzie, he wanted to give her the happiness she deserved. He wanted to make her feel like a princess. However, Nigel was becoming obsessed with the Kids Next Door, and he couldn't show his love to both Lizzie and the KND. I have to admit, Lizzie/Nigel are one of my most hated couples, but I support them in a way. Both had commitment towards each other, but they were both in love with something else. Sounds like most movies: girl is about to be engaged with guy but guy's in love with something/some one else. Then, the girl is also blindly in love with something/some one else, but she doesn't realize it. Yet, she realizes his commitment towards what he's showing admiration towards. I was honestly waiting for the break-up between Nigel/Lizzie since season one. It was not that I didn't like Lizzie, I just knew they weren't meant to be. Nigel was being held back by the KND for falling in love. Now if the GKND wasn't the reason for the break up, I could totally see them together in the future. I just can't see them lasting to marriage. Another thing- if Nigel was ever decommissioned I can totally see them getting together. Sure, Lizzie was overbearing in the relationship, but we all have our flaws. Lizzie and Nigel both had some sort of feelings for each other. I think Lizzie liked Nigel more than he liked her. Both of them did mature in their relationship throughout the series. I think Nigel drew out of his relationship with Lizzie while Lizzie drew into their relationship towards the end of the series. When Nigel was crying at the end of GIRLFRIEND, he just realized what he had lost. I do think they should have broken up, but -maybe if KND had more seasons- later on in their lives the break up could have occurred. I could see his relationships with both Rachel and the KND could have grew, and that could have caused a difficult love triangle. Thus, Nigel will ultimately realize that he didn't love love love love love love Lizzie. Then, the break up would happen. I think he should have developed a deeper friendship with both of his friends and Lizzie, so that the break up wouldn't have ended up messy. They needed to break up, in my opinion. They couldn't continue on any longer. I just think that if Sector CP had any extra time during the seasons leading up to six and Operation GIRLFRIEND, they could have deepened the friendships of Nigel and his friends(that includes Lizzie). Immensely, they should not have broken up so early. Really, GKND? You just had to ruin everything by making them break up, didn't you? Anyway, they were young, and they had a pretty great relationship for a ten year old couple. It really would have lasted to about middle school. Which in all honesty, that would have been a great relationship, despite Lizzie being overbearing. ^did I, a 1/362 supporter, just write all of that? Yes, I believe I did.

I'm glad that Nigel & Lizzie broke up at the end of Operation: GIRLFRIEND. I couldn't stand Lizze AT ALL! She was a JERK to Nigel!
However, the parts that really got me were the ones involving Numbuh 362/Rachel McKenzie, especially after Nigel & Lizzie broke up. If I was in Nigel's shoes, I would want no one else but Numbuh 36/Rachel McKenzie by my side to help me out. She's a great friend and always there for Nigel.
Nigel & Rachel SHOULD'VE GOTTEN TOGETHER AT THE END OF THE SERIES! I'm surprised and disappointed that they didn't.

True that, I believe that this was probably the idea the makers of the show had going forward but it obviously didn't happen. As Mr. Warburton said somewhere once, many stories they had to tell where not told. Maybe one day when they series gets rebooted (yes I’m still a believer )they will develop the 1/362 thing. However like many others said I do respect Lizzie for what she did,it was a insanely difficult thing to do.
