Okay... I needed to post this. Why cant Mario and Luigi, the people who practically MADE Nintendo what it is today, have a TV series?
I mean all the other video game characters have a TV series! Donkey Kong had one! (Donkey Cong Country) Kirby has one! (Kirby: Right Back at Ya!) Sonic has had 4! (Sonic X, Sonic Underground, Sonic the Hedgehog and The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog etc...) Zelda had one (The Legend of Zelda) so WHY CANT MARIO AND LUIGI HAVE ONE?!
They DID have a series though back in the early 90's. (The Super Mario Bros. Super Show) which I was TOO YOUNG TO SEE!! They're giving everyone else a series, so why cant they have one? Its driving me NUTS!!
Let me know what you guys think.

They really oughtta put the original Super Show back. To me, Captain Lou Albano IS Mario. That show had the best theme song ever too, for both the opening and the ending. A new Mario cartoon would just be inferior. You can watch some of the original episodes here, complete with the live-action skits. media2.yahoo.com/player/ligans/?key=47611

Wasn't the Donkey Kong Country show on at around the same time as the Mario Brothers one? And wasn't the Legend of Zelda cartoon a segment on the Super Mario Brothers Super Show? I'm not sure what you're complaining about.

Donkey Kong Country came a little later, around 96-97. The Zelda cartoons were aired on Fridays where the Mario cartoon would be. I unfortunately never saw the Zelda ones, though they were advertised to the moon. I kinda wish those would be brought back. Maybe put them on Miguzi and give Totally Spies the boot.

The DK series (Donkey Kong Country) was airing around 1999. And Legend of Zelda only lasted 7 episodes, and The Super Mario Bros. Super Show lasted 52 episodes. It might have been airing around the same time though. I dont know, I was only like 2 years old.
I just think that if all the other video game characters have a series, why cant the Mario Bros?

Okay, but the most of other ones you were talking about don't air anymore either. I'm not sure why you mentioned them. Especially Zelda.

The DK series (Donkey Kong Country) was airing around 1999. And Legend of Zelda only lasted 7 episodes, 13 episodes, actually. ... Uhh... Mario himself appeared in a cartoon version of Donkey Kong... Afterwards, various SMB characters appeared in three anime OAVs and a movie. Then we had the Super Mario Bros. Super Show and its various spinoffs: Club Mario, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World.... So, ummm, why are you saying Mario doesn't have a cartoon?

Are you talking about the version that was in Saturday Morning Supercade? That was way before my time, but I've always wanted to see that.

Ninty of Japan should do a CG Mario series, it'd be great. No annoying family morals like in the US ones
