Awesome. Although to tell the truth, I was more interested in what Petunia was going to tell Harry.
Also, just in case: If this topic turns into a huge dramafest I'm banning everyone.

He did in book 6.
Buuut, apparently some fan asked if he ever "found love" and JK said"Actually, Dumbledore is gay."
Im never going to be able to look at him the same again.
Downside, is Super christians are going to be like"D: HARRY POTTERS BADDDDDDER THAN BEFOREZ!"

yep..
funny thing is its all over the news, and the press is acting like it's the biggest deal since slice cheese. And he's just book character. a minor character.
Imagine how they'd act if this was Harry, or JK?

Well, good for him. The real question is...
Did anyone care?
I mean, seriously, besides the crazy yaoi fangirls who pair up EVERY male in anything, only hardcore Dumbledore fans would have any real interest in this. Like Shwoo, I'm more interested in what Harry's Aunt was going to tell him.
Why is it she's just covering the ultimate, post-book couples, anyway?

I don't read or even follow the Harry Potter novels, but this is going to create one hell of a shitstorm. Church pastors are going to be having a field day with this and I can imagine soccer moms not being pleased.
I was expecting that if one of the characters was gay, it would be Harry Potter or one of the other main characters.

I'm Catholic. Does all this nonsense about HP--witchcraft, homosexuality, etc. bother me? Not one bit.
Aren't we supposed to be compassionate towards others? How come so many "Christians" don't follow Jesus' example? He spent of great deal of his time among the outcasts of his society--you know, the ones that were shunned by the ruling religion. I don't get it.

I don't get it. I dont read Harry Potter but trust me, I've seen the movie's a million times (my bro's obsessed). And I just sent him the article bout Dumbledore being gay. And well, I think it's stupid how people are against so many things because of religion.. like you said *pokes the quoted post* thats what the church I have to go to says aswell.. I mean, in 1998ish they took a vote and were the only church in the USA to have a 98% vote agreeing to have ours a open church, meaning they marry gay/lesbian people, they accept it and everything.. some people got mad because it says on papers "we take the bible seriously, not literally.".. and like, our Reverend went to Republican conventions and people got so pissed off cause he was proving the people who are against gays and stuff wrong. And like we have signs that say like "Jesus hung out with the lepors and prostitutes and accepted them".. umm.. thats off topic XD but yeah. I don't barely ever go to church but I know bout it. And I think thats dumb when people are against people for things like their sexuality..if the news bout Dumbledore is on the news I think thats really stupid, WHO CARES? I mean, HP fans might but the only reason it would be on the news is to say "OHMYGAWDD ITZ BADZ NOWWZZZ LOLZ" ;; um... *runs away*

Didn't he die? So it was unrequited? (hasn't kept up with HP, obviously ) He was in love with Grindelwald, the dark wizard he defeated in 1945. Grindelwald spent the summer after Dumbledore graduated from Hogwarts in Godric's Hollow, where Dumbledore lived. They got along extremely well and started planning a pureblood regime. And then I don't think they saw each other again until Dumbledore had to go defeat him, something he'd put off for too long. At least, that's how I remember it. This information is from the Deathly Hallows, by the way.

Dumbledore? Gay? Interesting, I definitely didn't see it coming. But I don't really care because it wouldn't have been important.
