All I ever took away from Jem was that it revolved around one big ugly catfight between Jem and the leader of the rival band.

Don't insult Jem. Jem is a great show. 'K... What makes it great? 1. The music. 2. The characters are three-dimensional and more fleshed out than in most cartoons. 3. That it had Jem dealing with things that real pop music stars have to actually deal with (Rival bands, having her integrity questioned, etc). 4. That there was serious drama. Things happen to the characters that do (or could) actually have consequences for them. It's not just another "the good guys beat the bad guys and move on" show. 5. Piszazz, the leader of the Misfits, reminds me of one of my ex-girlfriends, so I enjoy seeing her get beaten again and again. Darn, now I'm in the mood to listen to some Jem music.

Ed Edd n Eddy should have been on that list. It's not as stupid as people seem to think.

WOOHOO! Um, the only thing i'm concernbed about musicla groups is their music, you don't listen to bands because they were orphans, do you? You listen to them because you like their music.....i never saw the show, but your opinion is yours, and i don't really care about the show, not to be cruel or rude or anything

Maybe he's confusing it with Conan. Or maybe Dave the Barbarian?

Maybe he's confusing it with Conan. Or maybe Dave the Barbarian? It's likely that he could be confusing it with Conan the Barbarian, because He-Man was modelled after Conan.

Okay, WHAT?! 0__0 Anyway, Conan the Barbarian is a fictional character invented by Robert E. Howard in the 1930s. Conan was a character who lived in a time period known as the Hyborean Age, and he went across the world on all sorts of adventures and got himself into all sorts of situations--including a brief stint as King of the kingdom of Aquilonia. Robert Howard's stories (which are now back in print, by the way--check your bookstore) were amazing, especially considering that they were written in the 1930s. They're easily almost as good as a J.R.R. Tolkien fantasy (but without Tolkien's long-winded details).
