Juniper's lil bro has the same voice actor as Phil on rugrats. I can tell I was wondering if anybody else noticed. ;D Kath Soucie's voice is pretty easy to recognize, mostly with boys. Hmmm... *looks through AD and JL pictures* Yeah.... they are surprising similar. Coincidence?

I don't know why people think it is a American Dragon Jake Long rip off that show sucks Juniper Lee is way different. It may have 1 or 2 similarities but that doesn't make it an ADJL rip off!

In all honesty, I tend to roll my eyes when people start calling "Rip Off!"
I admit, I don't know much about ADJL, but from the clips I've seen (courtesy of the Disney web site), I don't see that the two shows have much in common or that either could really be considered a "rip-off" of the other.
I mean, a kid who has to put up with responsibilities and try to live a normal life, yet also is destined from birth to fight evil, isn't exactly a new or recent concept. I mean, if you're going to say that Juniper Lee is a rip off of ADJL, then you have to say that ADJL is a rip-off of Mighty Max, Devil Hunter Yohko, Sailor Moon, He-Man... heck, Superman.
(In all honesty, Mighty Max was the first show I found myself mentally comparing Juniper Lee to, though Devil Hunter Yohko--which is also about a girl who is the latest in a line of girls who defends the human realm from monsters--is a bit of a closer match).
If you really wanna get nitpicky, then you could say no story is original, which is why I don't hold the story itself in high regard--it's the execution that matters. And if there's anything I can say about Juniper Lee, it IS well-executed!
Another thing that goes into the whole "rip-off" debate, is that shows exist a LONG time before they finally make it to television. A case in point, the anime Duel Masters is often criticized as being a Yu-Gi-Oh rip off, yet... Duel Masters existed and was already in the planning stages as far back as 1996 (which, coincidentally, is the same year that the Yu-Gi-Oh manga began running in Japanese Shonen Jump), meaning that its impossible for either to be a rip-off (and then if you actually WATCH the two back to back, you see that they aren't the same at all, but most people conveniently ignore that point).
And to the person who said that Jake Long and Juniper Lee both have the same type of dog... what the HECK are you talking about? Their dogs aren't the same at all!

...rip-off? XD
Geez, I've only seen a little bit of the show, and so far I don't find anything ripped-off about it. O.O It's a very great show (from what I've seen, anyhow) and I might try watching it more often. I mean, at least it isn't cliche like most new shows on Cartoon Network.
Then again, I haven't seen too much of Juniper Lee or ADJL, so I can't quite say. But still, Juniper Lee is a pretty good show to me so far = D.

As I told my friends earlier...
Juniper Lee hasn't even run a full season yet, but I already want Season DVDs!
There's too many things that win me over on this show. A main character who is A) female and B) kicks butt (seriously, I am so tired of powerful heroes who have some sort of weakness or for some reason don't want to fight--it's nice to see someone who just gets in there and beats the snot out of the bad guys without breaking a sweat). Humor that actually doesn't get on my nerves. Child characters who actually sound like children.
And of course, the show has the one thing KND will never have: awesome music.
While I had been watching the show for awhile already, the episode "Enter Sandman" is what made me fall in love with it.
(And I'll sock the first person who writes angst fics for this show)

Now I want to see Juniper Lee, but it's not on here yet. And of course, the show has the one thing KND will never have: awesome music. It can't be a rip off of American Dragon if it has good music. Have you heard the opening theme of that show? The singers sound stoned.

The opening theme is awesome! It'll have its premiere tomorrow here. I think the monsters are scary.

its a really great show... but it seems to me that there are way too many "teenage girls who save the world" shows out there right now. kim possible, atomic betty, and now juniper lee... it would be fun to see them all fight it out once, though^.^

I don't know how old that makes Ray Ray.
I don't think Jun's that mean. Except to the monsters. And as I said, I admire how generally tough and "unbeatable" she is.

In all honesty, Jun's friends don't seem all that weird to me. Honestly, they're pretty straightforeward teen stereotypes. Ophelia's the goth girl, the blond girl is an airheaded valley girl, Roger is the nerdy dork that wants to hang with the babes (who accept him even as they seem to generally dislike him), etc.
