The DVD's special features really aren't that great. All they do is have three of the songs and a game.......

Even though I sometimes watch the dub, just to sate my craving, I greatly prefer the Japanese version (in fact, I have every intention of buying all the Japanese DVDs one of these days). I think that there are way better shows (don't make me tell you cuz i'll name lots) Oh, there's no denying that. Great a show as Yu-Gi-Oh is (especially in Japan), there are many anime, cartoons, and manga that are much closer to me.

Honestly I haven't seen or read much of Kenshin. I like it, but at this moment I wouldn't necessarily call it one of my favorites.
For me, the best anime I've seen would be:
Ranma 1/2 Yu-Gi-Oh Dragon Ball / Z / GT Blackjack Case Closed (aka Detective Conan) Devil Hunter Yohko Mermaid's Scar the Unico movies Sailor Moon 3x3 Eyes Locke the Superman Galaxy Express 999
I used to like Saint Seiya, but kind of got bored of it.
Back in the day I used to be into a lot of not-exactly-mainstream anime (mostly because the first really "mainstream" anime in America--notwithstanding stuff like Speed Racer--was Pokemon and I was into the genre before Pokemon came out), but for the life of me I can't remember what most of them were.

I know Rurouni Kenshin has been out since 1994 in Japan, but I was under the impression that it hadn't entered America until 1999 or so, and not played on TV until like 2002. So, how "young" we talkin' here? ^__^

i don't know, before i became teen XD Hehehehe. Okay, enough with that line of thought. Anyway, if I ever learn sufficient Japanese, I may buy a set of Rurouni Kenshin manga someday... there seems to always be someone selling a complete set on Ebay. (Yes, I know Viz is translating the manga into English, but I don't trust their translations anymore. That's why I chose to get Yu-Gi-Oh in Japanese).

my fav animes arent even on yur list! ;_; ever seen samurai champloo, naruto, or yyh?? For Champloo, no. I haven't seen the Naruto anime but I've read the manga. I'm... not really taken by it. And as for YYH... I've both seen it and read it. I liked the first two graphic novels, but starting with volume three it kinda goes downhill. And since the anime pretty much skips the first two graphic novels... Hey, you asked ^__^ I'm not surprised that you're not familiar with most of what's on my list. I tend to avoid anything that plays on Cartoon Network (this is because anime tends to be serialized, so if you're not watching it from the very first episode you have absolutely zero clue what's going on. Of course, this is no problem for Detective Conan...) and I got into anime... well, before Pokemon even came to the United States. All the anime I named is available in English, sometimes under a different name and you might have to be willing to look in the VHS section as well, but they generally tend to get overlooked due to the splurge of recent titles.
