This thread is for any and all discussion dedicated to Monty Python. The movies, the shows, the cast, Terry Gilliam's works, anything. As some people may notice from my avatar, one of my favorite sketches is Spot the Loony. I love that particular episode in general, with everyone trying to read Ivanhoe, the various references to it and Sir Walter Scott throughout, Kamikaze Scotsmen, and the No Time To Lose Advice Center. Other sketches I love are the Lumberjack Song, Dead Parrot, Cheese Shop, Olympic Championships of Hide and Seek, The Argument Sketch, Aliens Turning People Into Scotsmen, and Self Defense Against Fresh Fruit.
I'm sure a lot of you have seen Holy Grail before, and if you haven't, your life is nowhere near complete. What are your favorite lines and scenes in that? I personally like the witch trial ("Very small rocks!"). Also, "When I built this castle, there was nothing here but swamp. People said I was daft to build a castle in a swamp. But I showed 'em. I built it here all the same. It sank into the swamp. Then I built a second castle. That one sank into the swamp. Then I built a third castle. That one burned down, fell over, and then sank into the swamp. Ah, but the forth one, that stayed up. And that's what you'll be gettin' lad. The strongest castle in all the land."
