As much as I like downloading episodes of stuff from online... There's a reason that the downloads thread PMs only now. I removed the link.
My favourite South Park character is Jimmy. Wish I knew why.

Compare to Happy Tree Friends, it's not humor, it's cute, AND it's BAD for the kids. What's Happy Tree Friends? Anyway, I agree that the recent eps aren't for kids, but I let my nieces and nephews watch the early seasons of South Park after screening them. The early seasons are nothing compared to the recent seasons. ;D As I've stated in other posts, I don't believe in censorship. If my 7 yo happened to put on Comedy Central and watch one of the recent eps, I'd have a discussion with him. What did you like about it, did anything upset you, you have to be older to watch/understand this, etc. Not everyone can handle mature humor, but that's no reason for blanket censorship.

I agree. The older episodes are nothing compared to recent episodes. Older episodes are just more simple. Something happens, Stan and Kyle learn from it, Kenny dies. I was watching 'spooky fish', and thinking about it, nothing really"mature" was in it. Except it could be a little scary. If im uncofortable in a ep, i turn it off, and watch something else. But the only episodes i guess i get "incomfortable" in are probably ones with Satan and Saddam. Alot of episodes are now getting"edited" to fit for 14 year olds.

About Happy Tree Friends (HTF for short), not to go way off topic as why I mention that show itself. Well, that show isn't meant for kids itself as the same case for South Park. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Tree_Friendswww.happytreefriends.comAnd actually, MHG, I DIDN'T say I hate that show. I heard quite a lot of it, but never get to watch my very first episode as my country forbids to air it. And I'm not here to against both shows, I was just expressing my opinion, not some feud or hate flames that we currently had at the "Avatar Convention" thread in this section. Both South Park and HTF are meant for the older viewers, and I am an older viewer. I'm sure I don't mind South Park, but HTF was way very disturbing due to its violent contents over South Park itself, especially the deaths, they're far more scary than Kenny's.

There were feuds and flames at the Avatar Convention thread...? From what I saw, it was a bunch of people having fun. Oh well. *shrug* I'll have to take a look at that Happy Tree Friends link. Who decides that shows like South Park need to be banned in Malaysia, anyway? The government or the religious majority? I don't like anyone telling me what I can and can't watch. The USA has this same problem with the far right-wing religious nutters, but they're very ineffective, due to something called the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

What?
We were joking... I thought it was pretty obvious.
Haven't you ever "fix'd" someone's post before?

The avatar thing was out of pure fun. Sure i hate the show, but I'm not going to flame the others for it. We just had pure fun. I cant stand others telling me that I cant watch something. I know some catholic country banned one of the episodes, and I think another... I think "super best friend" and "red hot catholic love" were both banned from some over relgious countries. Which is kinda sad, seeing as South Park is one of those shows, that make it fun to poke fun at yourself.(and Paris Hilton )

@happy Tree Friends
OK, that's cartoon violence. It's silly, not disturbing. I've seen far worse, like in Grand Theft Auto.
(BTW, my son saw his cousin playing that. I said to him, as long as you understand that that's only pretend violence, and violence is no solution to solving anything...you can look at it. I don't want you playing it.)

I move that violence can solve certain situations.
I mean, if someone's beating me up, I doubt they're going to listen to reason.

Well, yeah. I was talking about machine-gunning people down. I'd rather explain this stuff to him rather than just let him watch the game.

I only stick with fantasy violence in video games, myself.. You know, where you have to beat the crap outta monsters or else they take away your health just because you bumped into them?
And I wouldn't worry Madame, if you raise your kids right, video games'll have no effect on them whatsoever. Most kids turn violent because they have violent(abusive, neglectful, etc.) parents.

Re: Grand Theft Auto:
Why do you draw the line that your son can watch it, but not play it? Is it the argument about "interactivity is somehow more dangerous?"

No. He's too young to be playing that game. Some of the themes are too mature for him.
Seeing it for a few seconds and playing it are hardly the same thing.
Don't be concerned 'cause I'm not about to turn into a "Lion and Lamb" parent.

Oh, it was only for a few seconds. I just thought he was watching the game played in its entirety.
