The theme song is awesome. One of my favorite theme songs of all-time. The show, unfortunately...
Code Lyoko is one of the most horrible excuses for a show I've ever seen. The voice acting is one of the worst I've ever seen (or should I say heard?). And I usually have a high tolerance for voice acting.
Furthermore, in the episodes they just throw you into it without giving you any information about what's going on. A character suddenly mentions "Xanas". Okay, who's Xanas? They don't say! How do they go back in time? They don't say! The only reason I understood any of this junk was because I looked it up online.
Oh yeah, it's also extremely repetitive. EVERY episode Xanas takes control of some random machinery in order to initiate some (often rather stupid) plan. And every time, just a SPLIT-SECOND before it's too late, they suddenly destroy his tower, and then go back in time and everything's fixed. The End. There's no suspense if you already know what's going to happen in every single episode. Now, granted, many shows will often have things fixed with only a second or split-second to spare, but this show overuses it AND those other shows at least give you a little suspense.
And I hate the 3D segments also...the animation in there is just absolute crud. And they always do the EXACT SAME THING! There's some tower and they have to destroy it (or disable it...whichever). EVERY TIME! And EACH time there will be some monsters and obstacles in their way which they have to overcome, which they always do. I'm just asking for a little creativity here.
So, in conclusion, with its bad voice acting, boring repetitiveness, and bad 3D-animation, Code Lyoko is one of the worst shows on Cartoon Network.
The one thing that amazes me is that a show so BAD could have a theme song so purely awesome.

The theme song is awesome. One of my favorite theme songs of all-time. The show, unfortunately... i know, the theme song is pretty good Code Lyoko is one of the most horrible excuses for a show I've ever seen. The voice acting is one of the worst I've ever seen (or should I say heard?). And I usually have a high tolerance for voice acting. Yes, their voices are pretty bad, but sually all english dubbs have extreamly bad voices. Don't blame the voices on the show. It's da dub, i bet code lyoko had better voices in the french version. But the voices do fit them actually. And code lyoko is awesome. Furthermore, in the episodes they just throw you into it without giving you any information about what's going on. A character suddenly mentions "Xanas". Okay, who's Xanas? They don't say! How do they go back in time? They don't say! Something tells me you might have missed some episodes... there is a lot more then a show to needing suspense. I mean, Teen Titians has no suspense really (it's all obvious. WAY too obvious...) but people still love it (not to say i love it...). There is some good creativity to it. And sometimes it can be a good thing to do things over and over. And yeah, the 3-d animation is sorta bad and cheesy, but a lot more things happen in code lyoko then just disabling a tower and stuff. That Ulorch guy (i don't know how to spell his name T_T) lost his memory once and had no clue what lyoko was and what was going on when he went to lyoko. And odd taught ulorch a little too long, that yume was almost beaten.... and there was a little suspense to it... Code lyoko is awesome, it's kinda like the animatrics, only... it is... and y'know, da animatrics IS kinda boring. but, i still like it

perhaps you didn't see the first episode? Something tells me you might have missed some episodes... I've only half-seen Code Lyoko myself, so I won't comment on it's quality yet. However personally I do think it's a bad idea to design a show so that you HAVE to watch every episode in order to understand it, so at least insofar as that's concerned, I'm on Lord Seth's side on that one.

no, it's only the first episode you NEED to see to understand it all... once i missed a .hack episode once, just ONE episode, and i had exactly no clue what was going on in the next...

Yea, .hack is problematic about that. This, in fact, is the primary reason I prefer to buy or rent the DVDs--far too many shows nowadays require you to see it from the beginning to know what's going on.

Yes, their voices are pretty bad, but sually all english dubbs have extreamly bad voices. Don't blame the voices on the show. It's da dub, i bet code lyoko had better voices in the french version. But the voices do fit them actually. And code lyoko is awesome. That's not quite true. Most English dubs I've seen had great voices, or at least tolerable voices. But maybe I haven't been exposed to ones that have really bad voices. But I seriously couldn't stand some of the voices on Code Lyoko. And the fact is that it had MORE bad voices than other shows. In all the other shows I've seen, they had at most ONE bad voice. This show has MULTIPLE bad voices. I didn't see it, but I heard that that was just a "normal" episode--in other words, the kids already knew about Lyoko, Xanas already existed, and so on. Not much of a great explanation. But hey, maybe that's not true. Now, if Code Lyoko had some complex continuing plot, I could understand not figuring stuff out at first (but that's where recaps come in). But it doesn't have any kind of important plot, it's always the same. Or at least of all the episodes I saw. I saw maybe 5-10, and they were all extremely repetitive. Granted, I didn't see every single one, but in my experience, if you watch a show and 3 episodes straight follow the exact same formula, all the episodes (or almost all) will. Yes, BUT Code Lyoko seems to act like it IS a suspenseful show. Example: In the episode where two trains are about to collide, it shows the trains moving closer and closer while we see Aelita starting to disbable the tower in one of those...well, those things where we see one thing for a second, then something else, then the first thing, and so on. That's a classic example of trying to build suspense. But they're not building suspense because we KNOW Aelita will turn off the tower JUST in time. Interestingly enough, I don't like Teen Titans much (I should rephrase that. I dislike most of the episodes. There were a few I liked), but in my opinion Teen Titans has more suspense than Code Lyoko. And more importantly, it does have some redeeming features. If a show is bad in one thing, it can make up for it by being good in something else. Like Scooby Doo. The repetitiveness is made up for by the comedy. Well, yeah. But shows that are repetitive (Scooby Doo, anyone? That's got to be the single most repetitive show ever) often have REDEEMING features. Scooby Doo was FUNNY. Code Lyoko is repetitive and has no such redeeming features. Well, having not seen those episodes, I can't say for sure, but in all the episodes I've seen Xanas ALWAYS takes control of something and they ALWAYS have to shut down this tower of his and they ALWAYS do it just in the nick of time. EVERY SINGLE EPISODE! I'm just asking for a little creativity so it doesn't get so boring. No point in ever tuning in to watch a show where you already know how it's going to go.

I love Code Lyoko's theme song. I love Odd. I don't really like the couple of Ulrich/Yumi because I think it's a bit overdone in the show.
I missed the first episode, so I agree with Lord Seth that the story is hard to understand if you miss that episode. The show is based on a complex system that is set up in the earlier episodes, but even if I don't really get the system (like why they travel back in time and how that solves all their problems) I can still enjoy the show.
At first, I didn't recognize that Code Lyoko was a French cartoon that was dubbed so I was like, "Whoa, the animators must have been really sloppy!" because their lips don't really go with their talking. ^^;;;
The English dub voices are really funny. They all sound really weird.
Overall, I think that Code Lyoko is a pretty good show. I try to catch the beginning so that I can listen to the opening.

Code LYOKO is alright. I do watch it.. And I love the theme! (I'll admit, I'll blast it on the TV ) But.. There is a downfall to it. Lord Seth has a point. When I first watched it, I was confused. I had to ask my cousin what in the world it was actually about. But after watching a few episodes, I slightly caught on. And what always made me shake my head was that Aelita always deactivated the tower right when Xana was about to kill someone or for example right when the trains were about to crash. I was like "Whats up with that!?" It's always RIGHT when something is gonna happen. But it's a good show. Do I like Ulrich/Yumi? Not really. I really don't like Ulrich that much to be honest. My favorite is Odd. Like Tako said, it's way to overdone. Do I like Jeremy/Aelita? Sure. But I think Odd/Aelita would be much cuter. I mean, how many times has he saved her life?! He's probably been in LYOKO most because Ulrich and Yumi are off.. -Sigh- But. It's alright. (Their foreheads are rather large though...) And why does Jeremy press the Enter key and say return to the past when he doesn't really have too? I've seen episodes where he doesn't and everything seems to be fine. Does he do that to feel important? Oh well. Whatever floats everyone's boat.. Woah that was the longest post I've ever done!

Do I like Ulrich/Yumi? Not really. I really don't like Ulrich that much to be honest. My favorite is Odd. Like Tako said, it's way to overdone. Yep, I really don't like Ulrich. Why do all the girls in their school have a crush on him?? It's kind of tiring when a character gets a lot of romantic attention. Do I like Jeremy/Aelita? Sure. But I think Odd/Aelita would be much cuter. I mean, how many times has he saved her life?! He's probably been in LYOKO most because Ulrich and Yumi are off.. -Sigh- But. It's alright. (Their foreheads are rather large though...) Jeremy/Aelita is a bit better than Ulrich/Yumi because it's not as overdone (from what I've seen), but I must say that I like Odd/Aelita more than Jeremy/Aelita. I mean, it's so cute when Odd goes into Lyoko to protect Aelita, and he says something like, "Your rescue crew has arrived," or something. I can't remember, but I've seen him do it twice, and it's really cute.
