Fanfiction Reviews
Everyone loves getting reviews for fanfiction, and most everyone likes getting the good sort of reviews -- not the type telling you that
" OMG! This story RULEZ! "
but the type that explains to you, in detail, what is good and bad about your story. This section is aimed at the second sort of reviews. If you have a story you wish to have CCed (Constructive Critisim), put the link to it here and we guarantee you'll get good, helpful response to the story that are aimed at helping you become a better writer overall.
Rules for Writers:
1. Do not take offense if we tell you something is bad in your story. We do not mean it as a flame, and we will tell you how you can fix it.
2. On the same vein, this is not a place to post your stories for the "OMG!" type reviews. Serious CC wanters only .
Rules for Reviewers:
1. NO FLAMING. Even if the story is horrible in every way imaginable, you must not flame.
2. Follow the reviewing scoreboard; rate all stories (with explanations as to why each score is given) using the following scores:
Plot: 1 - 10 (What's the story of the story like?)
Spelling: 1 - 10 (self explanitory)
Grammar: 1 - 10 (Periods, Commas, and so on.)
Characterization: 1 - 10 (Are people in character?)
Genre: 1 - 10 (How true to the genre the story is are they? Is it a truly sad angst story, a fluffy romance, and exciting adventure?)
Double each score to get a grade out of 100, and put that in as a final score. Again, don't forget to explain why each score is given.
3. No "OMG"ing. No matter how great the story may be, this is a CC topic, not a gushing topic.
4. More of a guideline then a true rule, but: Try to come up with something good and bad for every story. Even if its a wonderful story, try and mention something you didn't like, even if the story is horrid try to mention something you did like.
5. No biases. Do not review a story unless you think you can be completely unbiased: If you hate the couple 1/5, but the story in question is 1/5 fluff, don't review it. If it's a slash story, and you don't like slash... don't review it. Biased reviews are just as bad as flames or "OMG"ers in this case.
Enjoy, everyone!
