Chapter 1 : Second thoughts
"Ever since the broccoli accident when I ate all of that broccoli. I'd had a strange emptiness in my heart that seamed to always go away when a certain bald operative would come to the moon-base or contact me." though Numbuh 362 as she was looking at the Earth threw her window.
But she knew that she could never be with him 'cause first of all he had a girlfriend and second she was forbidden by the rules to be with him but soon enough he wouldn't have to follow the rules he soon would have turned 13 and eventually be decommissioned. And them being separated.
"I can still remember how concerned he looked and how caring he could be when I was in bed.After all he did do my job for a week while I was in a come. They all thought that I couldn't remember what happened while I was in the coma. But they were wrong I still remember how he took care of me how he told me how he felt about me." Numbuh 362 thought with a smile on her face. But then her smile turned into a frown.
"How can I feel that way for a soon to be teenager.But maybe there is still time." she turned away from the earth with an aching heart.

BACK AT EARTH :

All of sector V was doing their own thing. Numbuh Five was reading a magazine , numbuh two was playing a video game while Numbuh four was trying to tell numbuh three about how he feels about her. And as always she wouldn't get a hint that he liked her more than like but like like uhhh who was he screwing he was in love with her.
Everybody except Numbuh one was in the main room he was in his room and packing his luggage.
"Ehhh ... What should I do I don't want to forget all of my adventures in the KND " thought Numbuh one soon to be known Nigel
Soon after he was done and asked the guys to help him bring the boxes to the house. He had a lot on his mind but it wasn't about missions or his soon to be decommissioning. It was about how Rachel looked at him when she woke up.
"How beautiful she is and how dreamy her sky-blue eyes looked" he smiled at that thought "but I don't have a chance with her now that I am almost a teenager." thought Nigel with a frown.
"But what can I do i still have a girlfriend but not for too long I am going to call Lizzie and have her come over.I don't want to be with her any longer."

Hey here's another chapter

Chapter 2 : The talks
Lizzie was very excited about going to the tree-house. Her Niggie never asked her to come over so she put on the "best" she could find and darted ot of her house.
'If he's asking me to calm over he must have something special to tell me or to do' thought Lizzie as she was walking to the tree-house.
Meanwhile in the tree-house Nigel was thinking the of the best way to tell Lizzie about how he felt while walking to the WC.
HE had a lot on his mind he had a mission to top it off it was suposed to be something about the teens.
'I never thought that my last few days as a KND would be such a hell' thought Nigel more than a liitle angry at them ' After all of my succeses and all of the missions I've done and the memories. No .NO . I can't allow them to decommission me like the next operative. But that means becoming a traitor for the KND' thought NIgel 'NO I can't be thinking of such thing I'm still a KND operative.
As Nigel looked into the mirror but what he saw scared him to hell he didn't se a kid but an angry teenager.
The other were at the main-room. NUmbuh 3 and 5 were reading magazines while numbuhs 2 and 4 were playing a video game and as always numbuh 4 was loosing to numbuh 2.
All of a sudden they heard one of the most terrifying screeches calling out form bellow the tree-house.

"COME ON NIGGIE I WANNA COME UP ALREADY" screamed Lizzie on top of her lungs.

"What's Numbuh One thinking calling that ... thing over here" said Numbuh four as he was covering his ears

"COme on Wally don't be so bad she's a friend" said Numbuh three and as soon as Numbuh 4 heard her say his name he got a little red in the face

"Hey numbuh two go get numnbuh One his girl's here" said the quiet one

NUmbuh One heard them and went out af the bathroom he was in.
"That won't be necessary Numbuh Five I'm here" said NIgel " And I'd appreciate if you all called me Nigel from now on" as he was going down the stairs. 'Why did I say that I still want to be Nubuh One' thought Nigel while opening the door "don't I" thought Nigel outloud but he couldn't continue his thoughts 'cause he was jumped and hugged by what seemed to be something huge but it ended out to be a Lizzie.

"OH NIggie it's been so long since we last saw eachother" said Lizzie as she tried to kiss him but NIgel pushed her away "But Niggie what's wrong" she asked a little concerned.

"Just come up to my ,, I mean to the leaders room I need to talk to you" said Nigel with a serious expression on his face

Numbuhs 2,3,4,5 were curious of what was going to happen when they saw Lizzie's worried expression and their boss's serious face.So they went to eavesdrop by Nigel's room but they could barely hear anything except when Numbuh one seemed to get to the serious part the voices got a little louder and suddenly the door burst open and out came a crying Lizzie.

" I DON'T EVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN UNO I HATE YOU " she yelled and started running for the door.

"what just happened" asked nubmuh four

"I just broke up with Elizabeth not a big deal" said Nigel with an expression that said that he didn't care if he did brake up with her.

"Not a big deal but I thought that you were happy with her" said Numbuh 3 looking a little angry at him

"Well you though wrong I was never happy with her" told her Nigel a little too angry.

"Hey chill Num.. I mean Nigle just chill she didn't mean to sound angry with you if you weren't happy with Lizzie than you did the right thing" said Numbuh 4 immediately protecting his secret crush.

"Sorry gyus I .. just it's been really hard for me with the mission and the ceremony and all I guess that I just blew up. I'm sorry" apologized Nigel as he realized what he had done ' No you're not' said a little voice in his head.

"so are you guys ready for the mission"asked numbuh One as they started talking about the equipment and all. He still had a little time as a KND he could use it for his advantige. It all depended on the mission.

I'm really sorry I promise that next chap will have more 1/362

Wow, Nigel really admits his feelings for Lizzie when he could not take her anymore, now, that really hurts Lizzie but she has to know that Nigel is really a very busy man.

Very nice, but might I suggest proof reading a bit and spell checking. The formate, however, is better then the first chapter. ;D

And might I ask what you mean by proof reading. And what was with that spell checking thing where'd screw up (no offense)

Oh, none taken. ;D

When I say proof reading, all I mean is reading over it a couple times after you write it. It could save you from mistakes like putting the word "calm" where you should have put "come" as well as grammatic errors like forgetting to end a sentence where it should be ending, things like that.
As for the spelling thing, there were only a few mistakes, so I guess it's not really a big fat deal. I just find myself picking that out sometimes.

Yes, mostly I see is grammar or spelling errors. If I were writing my fictions, I would rather write them in Microsoft Word so I can check for errors easily.

Hey guys what's up. I'm really sorry for the late update but I had some problems with my life. The next chapter is in my notebook so I can update it soon hope you like it R&R

Chapter 3 : the mission

The mission at full didn't seem that hard. Father had been silent for a few weeks and Global command were starting to get worried so they sent their best sector to see if they can find something about Father's plans. And it so seemed that the best sector was sector V so they were on their way to father's mansion. As they were approaching the big house Numbuh 2 spoke what the other four kids were only thinking.

"Hmm strange it's too quite. I mean they normally would've attacked us by now" he said warily

"Still we must not let our guard down " ordered their revered leader

So they all were extra cautious when approaching the house. In no time they landed on the roof quietly and drilled their way throw it. They were soon found in a three way hallway (corridor).

" OK guys so far so good. Bit we need to split up. Numbuhs two and five go right Numbuhs three and four go left I'll go forward. Be careful and in 30 meet back here or find your way out of the mansion. Now go" ordered Numbuh One.

They all nodded and went their way leaving Numbuh One looking at his teammate s's backs and thinking.
'We should dispose of this place when we are done' he thought and headed forward.

As the teams of two were walking they checked every room the came across but to no avail. There was nobody in the mansion. Soon Numbuh One was done setting his gift for the DCFDTL and kept walking and soon came to a halt at some big oak doors and the only room he hadn't checked. He put his ear on the door but didn't hear anything so he decided he could enter and soon found him self in Father's studies (cabinet). He went to the desk in the middle of the room and started searching for something that would explain Father's silence.

At another part of the house Numbuhs two and five were walking down the hallway and wondered why there was no body in the house. Just as they were passing were passing some old oak doors they heard rustling from inside.

"Numbuh five says we should probably check it out and see what's in there" said the quiet one

" Yeah. How about we just say we did and not. Anyway we don't have much time left.

Just as they were reaching to open the doors they saw Numbuhs three and four coming towards them. So they decided to wait for them and then to enter the room. After a few seconds they were all together and Numbuh four spoke

"Guys we need to get the hell out of here NOW. This hole place is rigged and is gonna explode in about five minutes" he said a little agitated

" Numbuh Five says we should first check out this room then we go" she said calmly.

Numbuh one was now looking at the blue - print of the Moon-base and its weak spots the he looked back at the trash bin he had found the blue-print he saw a piece of paper that didn't match the others in there. So he picked it up and saw a date on it.

" How ironic" he mumbled but then he reached for his gun as he heard some foot steps and voices outside the door. He quietly went next to it weapon at ready and reached to open the door.

Numbuh Five some voice from inside that sounded oddly familiar and could only understand that there was something ironic but didn't continue to riddle on that for much time. She reached for the door and as they were all at arms. She pushed the door open.

Numbuh One was ready for anything but this when the door opened he came face to face with his own team. They all relaxed when they saw the other party.

"Numbuh One we need to get out of here now this hole place is rigged " almost shouted Numbuh Four

"Yeah no problem I already got what we needed to get so lets go " so they headed to the ship on the roof.

They were on the ship and flying away when they heard an explosion and looked back to see the mansion in glue.

"Numbuh Five thinks Numbuh One would have an explanation about that" she said as she saw Numbuh One's smirk at the sticky building.

"Well I left an goodbye gift to the DCFDTL " said Numbuh One

"I think their gonna stick to not receiving gifts from you Numbuh One from now on" joked Numbuh Two

"Oh man that's gotta be the worst one ever " said Numbuh Four as he heard the joke

"So is Numbuh One gonna tell Numbuh Five what's so ironic " said the quiet one silently so only she and Numbuh One could talk

"All will be explained soon Number Five " he smirked "we may have to make a trip soon to moon-base " he finished that topic by looking away

And so they went back to the tree-house and Numbuh One immediately called moon-base to tell them of the situation and soon after that he returned to the others

"Guys get a good night rest and be ready to leave tomorrow for moon-base " he said turning his back to them and started walking away

"Wait Numbuh One are you finally gonna tell us what's so important that we need to go to moon-base 'cause Numbuh Five is starting to get curious" said Numbuh Five finally looking up from her magazine

And so Numbuh one proceeded in telling the others about the Father's plan and the date on which it would be held tomorrow.
'So that's what is so ironic they're gonna attack on Numbuh One's decommissioning' thought Numbuh Five. And soon after that they all went to bed.
That night Numbuh One went to bed with the idea of his meeting with a certain blond supreme commander.

Chapter 4 : Happy birthday

As Numbuh One woke up he panicked for a second because he didn't recognize the room and was shocked to see that he slept in. But it was his own home he was just not used to wake up in his home and not the tree-house. 'I should get used to it in no time' he thought with sorrow stinging his mind and thoughts. As soon as he was fully awake he found his glasses and went up the tree-house so he could have breakfast for the last time. While he was waling up the stairs he looked up and saw the blue sky and the sun which reminded him of a her.

They had already had breakfast and were waiting for Numbuh One to come up so they would be going to the moon-base already. Non of them felt very happy that they had to lose their leader but it was indisputable.

"Why is he late he had never been late before " asked Numbuh Two looking around for their leader who was just being lazy today and slept-in

"It's not like him " said Numbuh Four " A good leader must always be on time" he said a little proud that he never slept in, but then reminded himself that he was not a leader and sulked back into his seat.

"Well I don't know about you guys but I've already have his birthday gift ready for him" said happily Numbuh three

"She still doesn't get what it means that it is his 13 birthday does she " said Numbuh Two quietly to Numbuh Five. She just nodded in response.

Then as they were watching her their leader came in and went to the center of the room and started speaking:

"Good morning team. I'm sorry I slept in but I had work last night " he said. It was partially true he did have work but only for about half an hour after that he just stayed by the window and looked up at the moon and thought of her to about four o'clock when he finally decided that he needed to sleep. But even then he had trouble with falling asleep because of her. She was going to be his downfall he thought, that night.

Soon after Numbuh One received his gifts he called the team to go to the hangar and get going before Numbuh 86 called them and started yelling to them that they were late. Numbuh One was very excited about going up and seeing her but he couldn't show it. That would be like a fox being happy that she is gonna get caught. Because he knew that once he stepped onto the moon-base he would have no way of escaping decommissioning.

While in the ship there wasn't much talking but from a few questions as to why they were called up there

"Isn't there enough protection as it is. Why would they need us up there. " asked Numbuh Two

"They probably want protection from the best of us " bragged Numbuh Four

"So why did they call you then " joked Numbuh Two. Nubmuh Four seemed a little offended by that and was going to chase after his best friend but he was stopped by his commander

" Numbuh Four leave Numbuh Two to fly the ship." he ordered Numbuh Two seemed to relax at that thinking that he had his leader's protection " When we land you can chase after hi mall you want" at that Numbuh Two looked nervously at Numbuh Four who looked pleased .

'Hmm it's true the moon-base has a lot of security. But I can't say no to the supreme commander and still I'll have the chance to fight by her side once more and tell her' thought Numbuh One pleasantly at the thought of seeing Rachel in more than just the VD. screen.

Soon as they were approaching the moon-base there was an incoming transmission of a KND operative

"Approaching vessel identify yourself. Or we will have to shoot you down" it said

"This is Numbuhs One threw Five of Sector V of the Kids Next Door we were to come here by orders from the supreme leader" said Numbuh One in one breath

"A yes Numbuhs One threw Five of Sector V we were expecting you. Please accept my sincerest apologies it's just we have been on high alert all day " he said

"No problem Number 54.45 it's understandable " but just as they were talking a piercing sound was heard

" WHAT ARE YOU BOYS DOING STOP BABBLING AND GET BACK TO WORK " it was unmistakable the voice belong to no other than

" Hey Fanny what's up " said Numbuh One jokingly but Numbuh 86 looked at him with such hatred and said

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY " she yelled " IT'S NUMBUH 86 TO YOU ... TEENAGER "

At that point Numbuh One came back to being serious and offended by the term "Requesting approval to land Numbuh 54.45" he said with venom in his voice.

"Approved" said a voice in the back that Nigel immediately recognized and his mood changed back

"Thank you Numbuh 362. Prepare for docking " at that the transmission ended 'She's even more beautiful than I remember' he thought

As soon as they landed the were welcomed by Numbuhs 362, 60 ,86 and a part of the decommissioning squad behind Numbuh 86.
" Now Fanny be good and tell your squad to back down" they had all jumped Numbuh One at first site. So after her bosses orders she made a sign for the squad to release him.

"I'm sorry about that Nigel I need to speak to you at once" said Numbuh 362, but before following her he looked at his team and then she added " NUmbuhs 60 and 86 please escort Numbuhs 2 threw 5 to their posts for today" and after that both of them headed to her "office". Soon they were out of sight and she started before him

"So look Nigel I know that you won't remember any of this soon but " at this point Numbuh One started talking like he hadn't even heard her " I need to tell you something" the both said instantaneously

"OH you go first then " she said

"No it's not a problem mine can wait. Tell me what you were gonna say" Nigel said

"You first " she said

"No ladies first" he pressed on drawing closer to her but she didn't seem either to notice or to mind

"Numbuh One you go first it's an order " she said finally

Nigel got even closer by this point she had noticed that he was coming closer and she started to get warm. He just continued to get closer and closer he put his hand on her chin to push it up a bit until. Then Nigel did something he never thought he would be capable of doing: he pulled Rachel up to him, face-to-face, and gave her a gentle kiss on the lips. Rachel felt herself melt and her eyes watering. 'I must be on the crying spree today' she thought. Regardless, she placed both her hands on Nigel’s neck and returned the kiss, as she longed to do so for quite some time. Nigel hugged her close, seemingly protecting her from all harm. Soon they departed.

Nigel was the first to speak " I hope that was what you were trying to say " he said with hope. In the back of his mind there was a part that was ready for rejection but that part soon shattered as Rachel locked lips with him again. This time he pulled away from her as she looked at him with confusion " Does that mean yes " he asked . At that she just rolled her eyes and said

"Yes it means yes" and their lips met again but this time they were disturbed by the shacking of the moon-base "I don't think it's supposed to do that" Rachel said " I don't think so either " said Nigel in grabbing her hand and starting to run towards the main control room. The attack was ON.
