Aww,cute!....why are the socks mismatched?
I was going to give up on completely shading and everything...then accidentally started the process with Rachel and finished. Plus side - she looks great that way. Downside - now I HAVE to shade the Beast. *yawns* I've been working on it for the past hour and a half, and for 2 or so hours before that.

Heehee...mixmatched socks. I have a vendetta against toe socks. I can't stand them for some reason. Are those technically socks Rachel wears, or...  I can't figure it out! |

RING! RING!
Nigel woke up with a startle, glancing at his clock as it continuously blinked the time.
3:00 a.m.
Nigel was now annoyed. Who could possibly be calling so late? He reached for the dark red phone right next to him, ready to tell off whoever bothered to wake him up.
I will promise myself I won't care
distracting myself from your stare
and I've seen this mistake once before
with your games I will never fall for
I've hung up my guns
I won't kill again
“Hello?” Nigel spoke into the phone, rather grumpily at that.
“N-Nigel?”
Nigel's eyes widened a bit and his annoyance at this late-night call quickly turned into surprise. “Rachel?”
“Nigey! Who is it?” He heard an annoying, feminine voice call from the bedroom next to his. He puts his hand over the receiver so Rachel wouldn't hear anything. He suddenly felt a little nervous. “Uh, don't worry, Lizzie! It's just Hoagie!” When he heard no other reply from Lizzie, he put the phone closely to his ear, speaking in a low tone.
“Rachel? What's wrong?”
“Nigel...I-I-I...”
Nigel bit his bottom lip and concern and fear flooded his eyes at he heard silent sobs on the other line.
“Okay, Rachel,” he said, still keeping how voice silent. "Take a few deep breaths and tell me what's going on."
After a few moments of hearing heavy breaths on the other line, Rachel began to speak.
“I-I miss you, Nigel. I can’t stop thinking about you...”
I won't forget you (I won't forget you)
I'm not gonna let you win (I'm not gonna...)
but I'm tired of lying
tired of fighting you
and it's not gonna change
Nigel was taken aback. He knew exactly what she meant by it. Nigel and Rachel were together at one point in time, when he was through with Lizzie, but Nigel broke up with her. He did it to protect her, and Rachel said she understood. After having a near death experience, thanks to Father. Once he found out about Nigel and Rachel's romance, he attempted to kill her. They figured being friends was safer.
While Nigel was coping with their break-up, he confided in Lizzie for she comforted him. In time, Lizzie and Nigel decided to embark on a relationship…again.
“Rachel... We're just friends. A-And I'm with Lizzie now...”
“I-I know, Nigel, but... It hurts. It hurts me seeing her being with you.”

but not the way you lie to me,
you tear it all apart and beg for me to stay
I've sailed off to sea (sailed off to sea),

After minutes of silence between the two, Rachel finally spoke up:
“Nigel... Do you ever think about us?”

Rachel got her answer almost immediately as Nigel replied.
“Every day of my life.”
Counting down

Break the silence
“How are you and Patton doing?” Nigel asked, shutting his eyes and biting the bottom of his lip as hard as he could, feeling the taste of his own blood. He shouldn't have asked about her new boyfriend when they were on the topic of being together. Especially because he had no desire to find out how they were doing.
Rachel let out a loud sigh. She ceased from crying, because she seemed much calmer.
“I think we're doing okay, I guess. He stopped by earlier today and we spent some time together.”She spoke quietly.
“Does... He know you still have feelings for me?”
“I dunno.”
But Nigel knew by the uneasiness in her voice.
“You told him you're over me, didn't you?”
Silence. Not a word.
Nigel thought it over. Why am I still thinking about her? This is bothering me very often now…I can’t believe I’m still in love with Rachel McKenzie…
“Rachel... I gotta be honest with you," he began "I'm not over you. And here's the problem... I don't think I ever will be.”
"Still loving me is a problem?"
He could tell she took it offensively by the pain in her voice. “Yeah... It is. I'm with Lizzie now. I shouldn't love you... I can't love you...”
“But you do.”It was more of a statement than a question, but he responded anyway.
“Yeah... I do.”
Pretend it's not forever,
I'll pull myself together
I'll say that I'll forget her,
I'll breathe.
And I'll say she never hurt me,
And look at it as learning,
And laugh about the good and the bad.
Because I won't live forever
We don't belong together,
I know I'll feel better,
One day when I can make it through.
Another awkward silence settled between them again.
“Nigel... Will there ever be an “us” ever again?”
“Maybe... I don't know... I don't think so.”
Rachel choked back a sob.
“Rachel... I know it hurts. Believe it or not, it hurts me too, but you gotta believe me when I say... I love you more than anything on this whole entire world and I always will.”
“...Same to you, Nigel.”
I won't forget you (I won't forget you)

“Rachel... You should go to bed. It's late.”
“Y-You're right”
“Well... I'll see you sometime soon. I'll come by to visit or something.”

Thanks! <3 It...made you cry? I'm so sorry! *hugs* I'll type a happy 1/362 fanfic later today to make you feel better, is that alright?
BTW, my parents have a change of plans for me. They gave me 2 choices-
1. Go to St. Louis today with Mom, Dad, Sam (brother) and Caroline (sister)
or
2. You can stay here all day but then spend the night at grandma's tonight and go to St. Louis in the morning.
I choose 2. XD But I won't get lonely, 'cause I have my dogs. ^_^
Well, I'm thinking today I'll do some 1/362 fanart and type some fanfics. ;D
