Oh my goodness, yay Jojo! <3 *glomps* Hmm...speaking of Beauty and the Brit, perhaps you can all take a look at this ADORABLE drawing I found on DevART related to it! ^_^ Hope the link works... www.deviantart.com/deviation/27335828/?qo=95&q=by%3Amax-echidna-bat&qh=sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascraps And also, I've been wondering this...think we should change Rachel's color of her dress (when she and Nigel dance in that flippen romantic scene)? For some reason, yellow is not her color to me. ^^;

Beauty and the Brit: Chapter one, Part Two
Rachel jumped on the back of a wagon, listening to the driver and others throughout the town banter back and forth melodically. Bonjour! Good day! How is your family? Bonjour! Good day! How is your wife? I need six eggs! That's too expensive!
There must be more than this provincial life! Rachel adored the village, but it was so..boring, so routine. Every girl was assigned the exact same role. That was not where she was meant to be.
Finally, Rachel arrived at her target. The book shop.
“Ah, ‘belle’!” The bookshop keeper, Mr. Lincoln said cheerfully. Rachel smiled, despite herself. The nickname was more endearing coming from Mr. Lincoln than from any other townsperson.
“Good morning,” Rachel said simply, “I've come to return the book I borrowed.” “Finished already?” Mr. Lincoln asked, “With the pages, and the chapters, and the words, and the –aww, you know what I’m talkin’ about.”
Rachel nodded energetically as he put the book back in its place on the shelf. She glanced about, making polite conversation, but enjoying it, nonetheless. “Oh, I couldn't put it down! Have you got anything new?”
“Not since yesterday,” Mr. Lincoln said with a laugh, “But you just returned it now, so…”
Rachel ascended a nearby ladder, glancing about for a book. Not just any book, though. “That's all right. I'll borrow...” Found it!, she thought happily as she grabbed a book with a blue cover. “This one.”
“That one?” Mr. Lincoln stared at her incredulously. “But you've read it twice!”
Holding the book close to her, Rachel said “Well it's my favorite!” She swung off the side of the ladder, rolling down it’s track. “Far off places, daring swordfights, magic spells…a prince in disguise!”
Mr. Lincoln smiled pleasantly at the girl, handing over the book. “Well, if you like it all that much, it’s yours!”
“But sir!” Belle began to protest, but Mr. Lincoln cut her off.
“I insist!” He said cheerfully, “It’s your’s. With the reading, and the memorizing, and the …aww, you know what I’m talking about.”
“Well thank you. Thank you very much!” Carrying her new prize, Rachel headed out the door of the bookshop. She was faintly aware of someone watching her, but she opened her book and began to read.
Look there she goes That girl is so peculiar! I wonder if she's feeling well! The men of town all watched her, the younger ones partially out of admiration for her beauty, but all of them for her oddities. How often was it that one saw a girl reading so much? Reading at all, really?
With a dreamy far-off look! The women of the town said, half pitying the girl.
And her nose stuck in a book! The men of town said, once again noting the odd love affair between Rachel and those books of hers.
What a puzzle to the rest of us is belle! All the town’s people agreed.
Rachel sat down at the town’s water fountain to properly re-read her favorite part of the book. Not bothering to think of how silly it might look, she turned to one of the sheep sitting near her, feeding, and sang.
Oh! Isn't this amazing! It's my favorite part because, you'll see! Here's where she meets Prince Charming But she won't discover that it's him 'til chapter three! She flipped pages to show the sheep, but he didn’t seem to care much. Rachel rose to her feet, not feeling the least bit put off by the sheep’s disinterest.
Now it's no wonder that her name means 'beauty' Her looks have got no parallel! One woman pointed out to her husband. Rachel, with her golden hair, brown eyes, and fair skin was easily the most beautiful girl in town, not that she ever thought about looks. No…much more important to her were books.
But behind that fair facade I'm afraid she's rather odd The merchant pointed out to his wife, twirling his finger in a ‘she’s crazy’ motion. And worse than her reading. She was…different.
Very different from the rest of us... She's nothing like the rest of us Yes different from the rest of us is belle
End part two..one part left! By the way, I used the original script and barely edited it at all. I don't know if you guys want to use that format or not. Reply, and then I'll post the last part to this chapter.

Beauty and the Brit, Chapter one, Part 3....Gaston/Patton's arrival! w00t!
Rachel was too distracted by her book, and the rest of the town too distracted by her oddness, that none noticed the geese flying overhead. Save two people – Patton, easily considered the most handsome man in town, and Lee, his..well, sidekick, in truth.
Patton pulled out a gun, aimed carefully, and shot. One of the geese plummeted down towards the Earth, where Lee caught him and bagged him.
“Wow! You didn't miss a shot, Patton! You're the greatest hunter in the whole world!” Lee said, catering to Patton’s ego. Perhaps that was the town’s mistake – telling Patton what he deserved, merely for being good looking. Rachel was told these things as well, but in terms that when Patton got everything the world had to offer, she’d get it as well, because they assumed the most beautiful girl in town would marry the best looking man.
“I know!” Patton said. Whether he was annoyed or happy was not easily deciphered.
“Huh. No beast alive stands a chance against you...” Lee added, with a smirk “and no girl for that matter!”
“It's true, Lee,” Patton agreed, “And I've got my sights set on that one!” He pulled Lee close and gestured towards Rachel, who was making her way out of town by this point (However slowly, though, considering she was trying to read at the same time).
“The inventor's daughter?” Lee bit his lip. Once Patton had his sights set on something, he got it. But Lee had to admit, Patton was setting his sights both too high and too low at the same time. The girl and her father were both loonies…and yet, at the same time, she was beautiful.
“She's the one! The lucky girl I'm going to marry.” Patton said confidently.
“But she's—“ Lee tried to vocalize his protest, but he was cut off. “The most beautiful girl in town.” “I know” “And that makes her the best. And don't I deserve the best?”
“Well of course, I mean you do, but I mean...” Lee knew he was fighting a losing battle, but he still had to try.
Right from the moment when I met her, saw her, I said she's gorgeous and I fell! Here in town there's only she Who is beautiful as me So I'm making plans to woo and marry Belle Patton sang in a deep, rumbling voice.
Sheesh Lee noted, There’s no use talking to him about it if he’s willing to break out into song for her.
Patton made his way towards Belle, but a sudden crowd filled the town square, making it almost impossible for Gaston to maneuver, though Rachel was not having any difficulties – even without looking up from the book. Bonjour! One man greeted Patton. Patton responded with a Pardon!
Another man greeted Patton Good day! And the whole place filled with a cacophony of voices, as the people crowded Patton on all sides, making it impossible for him to move more than a centimeter at a time. He kept catching little snippets of conversations and barters as he frantically made his way forward, Rachel getting more and more out of reach with each word. Good day! Mais oui! [/i]Y ou call this bacon?[/i] What lovely grapes! Some cheese! Ten yards! One pound 'scuse me! Patton put as much emphasis on it as he could, hoping people would get the hint and get out of his way. None did.
I'll get the knife!
Please let me through! Patton’s voice was close to pleading now, though still nowhere near begging. He could just barely make out Rachel’s shape, almost at where the markets ended.
This bread! Those fish! It's stale! They smell! Madame's mistaken!
Rachel had almost finished reading her book a second time, but she could still make out the petty arguments of the people behind her. There must be more than this provincial life! She sang.
Well maybe so... The townsfolk were almost agreeing with her, but what they truly meant was that their life was fine. What needed improving upon?
Just watch I'm going to make her my wife! Patton said confidently, his hands on his hips, as though in defiance. The townspeople were surrounding him, all watching Rachel just as intently as he was. Look there she goes a girl who's strange but special A most peculiar mademoiselle The town didn’t really bare the girl any ill will. They just thought she was a little nutty. But there was something about her that made you pay attention to her, and while you didn’t understand it..you couldn’t help but wish your time with her was limitless.
It's a pity and a sin She doesn't quite fit in! But she really is a funny girl A beauty but a funny girl She really is a funny girl! That belle!
Finally managing to break through the crowd, Patton made his way up to Rachel and stopped in front of her, forcing her to stop in her tracks. “Hello, belle.”
“Bonjour Patton,” Rachel said politely, “And it’s Rachel..not belle.” Patton, however, was not paying attention. He grabbed her book away, flipping through it, looking irritated. “Patton, may I have my book, please?”
“How can you read this? There's no pictures!” Patton said, desperately searching for a picture. Not that he read books with pictures, either.
“Well, some people use their imaginations,” Rachel said simply. She fought down the instinct to run. She was far too civil to do that. Even to someone she really disliked.
“Belle, it's about time you got your head out of those books,” Patton said, throwing it into a nearby mud puddle, “and paid attention to more important things...like me! The whole town's talking about it. It's not right for a woman to read--soon she starts getting ideas... and thinking.” He put a highly negative emphasis on the last word.
“Patton, you are positively primeval,” Rachel said, glancing down sadly at her mud-caked book.
Patton smiled. “Why thank you, Belle. Hey, whaddya say you and me take a walk over to the tavern and have a look at my hunting trophies?”
“Maybe some other time,” Somehow it came out more polite than Rachel had hoped.
“What's wrong with her?” Whispered one of Patton’s many fangirls. They were always following him about.
“She's crazy!” added another.
“He's gorgeous!” Said the last one with a dreamy sigh.
“Please, Patton,” Rachel said, extremely sick of this game. “I can't. I have to get home and help my father.”
“Ha ha ha, that crazy old loon, he needs all the help he can get!” Lee spoke for the first time, finally feeling he would not be treading on Patton’s territory. He and Patton broke into hearty laughter. “Don't you talk about my father that way!” Rachel said through gritted teeth. How dare they?!
“Yeah, don't talk about her father that way!” Patton said, making a fist and bringing it down on Lee’s head.
“My father's not crazy! He's a genius!” Rachel said, turning on her heel. They were entitled to their opinion, but she did not have to listen to it. They were so frustrating, so..narrowminded. Would she ever find someone who understood there was more to the world than hunting or marrying the best looking guy?
