I don't watch shows FOR the shipping. I watch shows for plot, good characterization, good writing, originality, etc. For me, shipping is a side effect of liking a show. If I get attached enough to a show and to particular characters, I become invested to the point where I care about what happens to them and I want them to have fun/fruitful/cracky/whatever relationships. ...Does that make any sense?

Yes, but I'm almost as crazy as you, so it's to be expected.

I like KND because of the battle against adult tyrany, good plot characters. Although I do want 3 and 4 to get together.

I think shipping in KND is kinda fun, although I'm not usually too big on romance. I'm not really too bothered about who ends up with who (to be honest I don't think there will be very many couples by the end of the show), but shipping just makes the fandom more enjoyable when you can't think of anything else to talk about. Although a lot of the time the shipping threads here tend to be used for more general discussion, but it's nice knowing you are talking to others who agree with you when it comes to at least one couple! Oh yeah, the shipping debates/wars can be fun, whether taking part or just reading the threads. As long as things don't get too serious, of course!

I chose option 2.
The romance wasn't what got me into KND. It was the fact that it's a fun kid's show with a great plot that I wouldn't get confused if I watched episodes COMPLETELY out of order. There's also the fact that it's the show that makes me laugh the hardest, which is always a plus. ;D
Anyway, shipping is fun, although the only coupling I really "ship" is 2/5. (I like other couples, but I never really got into them.)
I don't like when people get so worked up over it, though. It's just for fun!

Hehe... I also thought about this option Cray, but I think, that isn't the most important in KND... But this is only my opinion...

I'm between Options 2 and 3, but I choose Option 2. Don't really care for romance in KND, but there are couples I like and prefer over other couples.

You know, I wouldn't be at all surprised if some, even several, people chose that they hate it. I wouldn't even blame them. I'm probably the biggest shipper I know, but I get so disgusted with some of the crap I see in fandoms. Like the show Scrubs. There are tons of people who ship JD and Dr. Cox. Just more proof you can't have two characters have a conversation without some moron shipping them. It's like there's no type of relationship that ISN"T romantic. Student/Mentor? They're in love. Male/Female friends? They're in love. Someone enjoys torrmenting someone else? Secret lust.
Sure, I have my couples with those very characteristics, but I draw the line somewhere. Everything isn't about romance. And if I didn't enjoy shipping so much, I'd probably be one of the anti-shippers.
