Heh... I prefer 1/5 because this couple is... original... I don't know... I think that I like them because they're the most clever in Sector V... And because I read big piece of fanfictions about their love...

Well, see I don't really see them as opposites at all, because they're not. It's just that the stuff they differ in makes conflict (rather like 1/5 as well). Just because they have conflict doesn't mean they're opposites. Like BB/Rae was called 'opposites attract', but in the end it didn't really fit, because they ended up having a lot of things in common.

It's just that (IMO) with 1/5, there's nothing there but close friendship. People say that Abby likes Nigel, but why? Because she's worried about him in some eps? I just... don't see anything there.

No need to run. Its not a war.
But they're opposite in a different way. Nigel's a worry-wart, and Abigail's laid-back. But they're also two of the best and smartest operatives in their Sector, and are born leaders.

People get the impression Abby likes Nigel from the fact that she goes SO much out of her way for him. QUIET is a good example, being that she tried so desperately to make it so Nigel could get a moment's peace. JEWELS is another good example, where she risked her live to get the boy a birthday present. Can you blame them for their inference? Abby definitely cares for Nigel a lot, if not anything else.
However, I have the same problem you do with 2/5. It think it's been repeatedly clear that 2/5 neither have romantic interest in each other, nor will said relationship be canon. This, of course, is the fault of my own, because I simply do not interpret things the same way you do- if I did, I would be a 2/5 shipper.
XDD It's all in good fun. And I must say, Limey, that I'm honored to be talking in conversation with such a popular member of TT fanart community on dA. It's fun to see TT fans outside of the usual TT forums and such.

Yeah, I guess your right. If I interpreted things the same way you did, I guess I'd be a 1/5 shipper. Everyone thinks differently about things, which is probably why there's so many couples! XP

See I don't mind 2/5 at all. Heck I don't even mind 1/Lizzie. I just prefer certain couples over others. Its not a matter of hatrid, and shouldn't be for anyone.
Opposites attract used to appeal to me, which is why I had fallen in love with 3/4. It just depends on how opposite the two really are. The reason I don't like 2/5 as much as 1/5 is because, there different, but too different. They barely have anything in common. Especially with the joke thing.
On the other hand, Numbuhs 1 and 5 are similar, and yet different in another way. I already explained it, but I'll tell you again anyway because I'm bored. ;D Though they are both bright operatives, common sensed, and born leaders, Numbuh 1 is more of those people who worry of even the smallest things, in protection of his team and the KND. However Numbuh 5 is laid back and loves the word, "Relax." What makes them similar again is that she still wants whats best for the KND, and is concerned for it as well.
How much more detailed can a KND fan get? Unless you want me to name examples, hey, I'm free tomorrow morning.

There's more the Abby and Hoagie's relationship than just... his jokes. Numbuh 2's chara is more than just lame jokes XD; there's a lot of different aspects of his personality (serious, driven, nerdy, compassionate, err... joking/funny, the list goes on), and I think some suit Abby more than others.
*Gets lost in own little world* Man, I lurrrrve Numbuh 2...
