@music (may I call you that?): Well, I guess... in my mind, Rachel is really the kind of gal who follows the rules, you know? While Nigel likes breaking them. And I've always had this idea that the Supreme Commander in paticular might not be allowed to date a fellow operative, because he/she might let her feelings rule her judgement. It's sort of the one rule Rachel can't break, no matter how much Nigel wants her to.

Anyhoo, I was browsing DA and saw Lilly's 1/362 pic Killing Me Softly, and I think it's inspired another story idea...

Don't worry, Lord M, I intend to have HOPE and quite a few of my other fics finished before I start another project. I'm just letting the idea kind of simmer for a bit. XD Thanks. |

Yeah...
It's mainly a 1/362, but there is some 2/5 on the side. I seem unable to write 3/4 fanfiction, for some reason.

Quick notes:
1. Everyone in this is about 16, with the exception of Rachel who is, like, maybe 16 going on 17
2. Rachel has had a crush on Nigel since the TAGG incident
3. Abby and Hoagie are best friends, and serve a purpose as back-up in the story. They end up getting... very close due to the antics of Rachel and Nigel. There's also a young girl named Misty who has a crush on Hoagie and works with him on the vehicles, much to Abby's annoyance.
Plot summary: The TND recieve new of a new kid, Vincent Brum, who apparently is not only a genius but also has outlines for new weapons that could turn the tide of war in the favor of the evil adults. However, Vincent also has a weakness-- a love for blonde-haired, brown eyed girls. Nigel and Rachel go undercover to try and retrieve the plans before they fall into adult hands, but Rachel might end up paying a price-- and Nigel doesn't like it one bit.

Other random notes: 1. Rachel and Nigel share three kisses throughout the fic. I will not reveal how they happen.  2. Nigel actually does like Rachel, he's just never told anyone because he was with Lizzie, then he felt he didn't need a girlfriend. 3. In the final showdown, there are 3 people in a room: Vincent, Rachel, Hoagie, and a laser. Rachel is not the one who gets shot. 4. Nigel actually feels very possessive of 'HIS' Rachel, much to Abby's amusement. XD |

Well, it's really not so much in a romantic sense (at first) but that Vincent is a creep, Nigel picks up on that, and he's a creep who happens to be attracted to Rachel, and he's a creep Rachel might have to possibly date seduce to get the plans, and Nigel doesn't like the idea of a creep using (HIS) Rachel. It actually becomes a bit more romantic on his end after the first/second kiss he shares with Rachel.

My favorite (so far) is probably the first, just because of how it happens and it kind of starts the whole thing rolling. Plus, it's fun to write Abby chewing Nigel out. XD
