Actually, I've seen alot of 2/86 shippers, though some were just interested in the couple and not actual shippers.

I see a lot more 2/5 fics than 2/86. But still...there are some really dang good ones for the Closet Keepers!

2/5 had a pretty sturdy base before Fanny was even introduced. Not surprising it has more supporters.
What IS surprising is that so many 2/5 are okay wiht and alternatly ship 5/Heinrich, but many act like 2/86 is a threat or something. And since it's chances of becoming canon are virtually nil, that's ratehr quirky.

I guess maybe those who see 2/86 as a threat just don't want to see Hoagie with anyone besides Abby, but they are ok seeing Abby with others?

Yeah, that one confuses me. It seems a lot of people like a 2/5/Heinrich triangle...but don't like 2/86. Some people just don't like the character (Poor Fanny....).

The reason I can think of for 2/5 shippers being fine with 5/Heinreinch but not 2/86 is because Abby and Heinreinch had more interaction and history than Hoagie and Fanny do.
That, and a lot of them fangirl Heinreinch.

That's what I got from their interactions in PINKEYE and ZERO. But you guys must see something that I don't. |

*shrug* Just trying to figure out why stuff like 362/Father is accepted without a blink, but 2/86 gets raised eyebrows and WTFs. Then again, a 2/Cree thread gets suggestions not to take it too seriously.  |
