Really? I just keep seeing her hitting him over the head with things. Well, that, and they'd have heated/witty banter. The perfect team. ...kinda. And as they get older, I imagine Hoagie won't take physical abuse from her much. Maybe the occassional swat here and there, but I bet he won't be as intimidated as he used to (and he wasn't that intimidated in the first place, compared to others), which will probably drive Fanny nuts. See, there was a scene in the IGPX pilot, where Takeshi says something silly, and Liz tries to hit him. He evades, and Liz, being stubborn and hot-headed, continues to try to hit him, leading into a dance of sorts (well, I thought it looked like a dance- Takeshi would duck and weave, just out of reach) across the room. All the while Liz is frustrated and angry, and Takeshi is grinning and smug. This is just the kind of scene I imagine. (FYI, Liz/Takeshi became canon in the end. Very sweetly, might I add. They even had Takeshi go through a whole other relationship before he and Liz hooked up. Brilliant show, that IGPX.) |

Any chance of finding that scene on YouTube (or even the ep and the section with that part in it)?
That DOES sound like something that would happen between Hoagie and Fanny. He does enjoy getting the upper hand (ego, one of his two major failings), and she hates LOSING the upper hand.

Well, strangely enough...the more I think about it, you are right. Hoagie isn't as intimidated by Fanny as the others. Nigel freaks out the first time we meet her, Numbuh 4 even seems afraid of her..but Hoagie even had the guts to call her toots...go Hoagie! ^_^

But if you go on it (when it's working) and search IGPX, and then look for the IGPX minisodes, you're on the right track. ^^ Exactly. A sweet drabble idea right there. Oh, drabbles, why must you be so conveniently short so I come up with all these ideas? -shakefist- Fanny/Hoagie could be very accurately compared to Takeshi/Liz, I feel. I think that's why I see Fanny and Hoagie as a duo when they get older- I subconsciously compare it to Take/Liz. ...y'know, I'm going to try to combine Fanny/Hoagie into one word. Fanhoa. Hoafan. Hanny. Foagie? ...yeah...that didn't work. Oh, well. 2/86 or Fanny/Hoagie works. EDIT: WHOAHEY. You know IGPX? Seriously? -glomps- I didn't know anyone who knows IGPX. And yeah, Takeshi/Liz was an awesomely hot couple. I'm so depressed IGPX ended so soon. It was such a great show. |

Yes, I do know IGPX. *lowers head in shame* but..I only watched it because I wanted to see if Liz and Takahashi would end up together. I couldn't STAND that blonde girl, and the robots just didn't interest me that much..but I loved the characters. Liz was awesome.

Wait a minute...I seem to recall Hoagie freaking out in FUGITIVE and all but chewing off his fingernails. I could be incorrect, but he certainly wasn't less scared than the other boys. And in PINK-EYE, he was playing a part. All those cool noir detectives throw around diminutives when in the presence of a woman (any woman, not just the token femme fatale), so why shouldn't he?
I really don't get your argument. Oh well.

So I added it to my queue and bumped it to the top. ^^
Of course, I"ve already got various Fanny-tries-to-beat-up-Hoagie-and-he-keeps-dodging senarios running through my head. ><

Oooh, Suki, I can't wait until you wait it. I think you'll adore IGPX. It's definitely an involved show, that's for sure. When you finish the series, we can discuss how similar Takeshi/Liz and Hoagie/Fanny really are, if at all. I only got 1 new oekaki one finished (*ish shad*), so I put the TOOTS one and the one I'm using now.
Wow... that image is blurry.
Hm... I'm thinking I may have to start offering additional compensation for the updating of stories, since my valued words of praise and pricelss admiration don't seem to be reward enough.
