He had a wife. She had a toilet head. She kept telling him come back to bed. ...the second time, she said it suggestively. *blink*
Ahem...Heinrich = coolest KND villain. Agree or disagree?

Disagree. Father pwns all.
I still can't really think of Heinrich as a villian, anyway. Not on the level of the Delightfuls or even Stickybeard, for that matter. He doesn't give a caramel about the KND or world domination or anything that doesn't involve his own personal satisfaction.

So...what exactly does that make him? Random person? Personal rival? Anti-hero? (I hate that last one..it always confuses me, because people always go "He's not a villain! He's an anti-hero..."...and my point is "If he tries to kill a good guy, he's a villain").
I love that "Who gives a caramel?" Line...still one of my favorites.

He's a personal rival. The only operative he hates is Abby, and that's for Guatemala. Even the Toilenator wants to destroy the KND for the sake of them being the KND. With Heinrich, it was only a means to an end. Attack them to find her. He didnt' even finish chocotizing Nigel once she showed up.

Same thing I've called him from the beginning. Selfish. Ruthless. Cruel at times. Vindictive. Short-tempered. Even, as Stickybeard said, a little stupid. More due to his myopia (metaphorically speaking) than lack of intelligence. He can read hyrogliphs, at least.
I guess you could say he's on his way to becoming a world-class sociopath. He lies easily (see RABBIT), never shows remorse for his actions, doesn't consider the consequences, manipulates people (RABBIT again), and seems to feel no empathy at all.
BUT (there's always a "but"), that ending in LICORICE wasn't fake. He showed real tenderness there, and a real sore spot. He could be on the brink. Teetering at the edge of becoming a ruthless fiend lacking the ability to truly care about anyone. He's young, so he might be saved.
...omg, ABBY! Time to stop playing! You have ot save him from himself! He NEEDS YOU! More than anyone, he needs you to save him from himself! You've known it all along, but this goes way deeper than a chocolate monster. If you don't save him now, you'll lose him forever, and you WON"T get him back.

What impressed me about Heinrich was that he wasn't pressed into thanking Abby. He seemed to do it of his own accord (from what we know, anyways. Maybe Stickybeard played a hand in it, but I honestly don't think so)

Nah. Sticky seems to have washed his hands of Heinrich, so to speak. Even then, a prodded thanks wouldn't have been that sincere. Heinrich wears his heart on his sleeve. What he feels is right out there for all to see. He couldn't have faked that.
Which is why ABBY MUST yadda yadda, see my previous post.

Yeah, plus he doesn't seem the type to be goaded or guilted into anything. At least not in his present state of mind.
....everytime you say that, I have a little voice in my head saying "And all the kids say, that Heiny's tiny heart grew three sizes that day"...

How the German stole Easter. XD
Seriously, though, I don't think Abby would forgive herself if he became a human monster, even if it wasn't her fault. She seems to think she has to save everyone. Her voice gets panicy whenever one of her friends is in danger (see SNOWING; she even worried about Lizzie). And if she and Heinrich were close before Guatemala, or even if they were just friends, and he destroyed himself... I think that'd be even worse than someone getting destroyed by a villian.

*laughs* Great title!...maybe he stole everybody's chocolate bunnies and Cadburry eggs? (those are mine! I don't care if you're one of my favorite characters, you ain't gettin' 'em, Heiny!)
Hmm...that is very true. Though I think her worry for Lizzie, though she doesn't seem to care for her, probably stemmed from how sad Nigel would be without her. Anyways, with Heiny, I think she actually might try to take the blame. I could easily be wrong, but ...well, she seemed guilty about Guatemala in JEWELS. No, it probably wasn't her fault, but she knows that that hasn't gotten through to Heinrich. And it will be quite a while (*cough, caramelplease!,cough*) before he does.

I'm not sure I agree about the Lizzie thing. She may not be Abby's favorite person, but none of them wanted that boyfriend helment to take control. Heck, Abby was in favor of helping the Delightful Children in PARTY. Cool as a cucumber, but Abby really cares about people. And she cares enough about Heinrich to stall a pirate long enough for the sun to rise at the expense of her blood sugar levels. She passed out at the end of that little scene, and probably didn't wake up until shortly before Heinrich went to thank her (from the daylight, that was probably midday to early afternoon; several hours after dawn). You don't inflict that much damage on yourself for just anyone.
And I still think Guatemala is both their faults. Even if it isn't, it's partially her fault the rift has gone on this long.

I don't know, I think she really tried to make amends...but I think she did it too late for it to really make an impact. After all, he was grounded a whole month, and for a kid that age, that's such a long time...

Yeah, but she didn't sound too convincing in JEWELS. Right after the apology, she's angling to get her candy back. I wouldn't have bought it, either.
By the time CHOCOLATE rolled around, he was too deeply ingrained in his hostility to forgive her when she did show genuine concern.

Really? I thought he was too far gone in JEWELS. But she also locked him up..not exactly good for a relationship. And the hamburger had pickles! ....You don't think he took the pickles personally, do you?
