Anyways, *ALMOST* done coloring..taking..soo terribly long..and Kuki doesn't look like herself, but I spent too much time on this one to just scrap it.

@sonic SatAM Sally Acorn I'm so glad that I'm not an anti-Sally-basher person! ^_^ Even I'm pro SonAmy, Sally seems to be an awesome character from hearing about all the good stuff about her you just told me, Lord M! Thank you so much! ^_^ I never understood how anyone could be anti-Sally, she was the most versatile character in the whole SatAM series. But a lot of that was because of the way she bounced off of Sonic--their relationship had many different levels. They were best friends, perhaps even closer than Sonic and Tails, although Tails still plays a pretty big part of SatAM. They have a huge history of knowing each other since childhood--they went through the same experiences, they were both there when Robotnik usurped the power of the Acorn throne. Also, Sally never stands on her regal bearing, while she is technically the Princess she never addresses herself as such, prefering to just go by Sally because she feels that all of the survivors are in the fight together and titles are meaningless. Of course, there's also an obligatory romance between the two--the hero always gets the girl, right? But Sally's a bit different for someone in the Sonic universe--she's not a damsel in distress, waiting for Sonic to rescue her. She's also not an action heroine, she tends to be the brains of the group. But she will go out into the field and get her hands dirty, and even though she possesses none of Sonic's physical abilities, she doesn't much fear for what will happen to her. Wow, that was a long dissertation. At any rate, what I'm trying to say is that Sallyis unique. She is the glue that holds the Freedom Fighters together-- not Sonic. Sonic is more of the hero and the spirit of the group, the guy everyone looks up to. SatAM was by far the most dramatic and realistic take on Sonic the Hedgehog that was produced and its disappointing to me that future incarnations, bost animated and in video games, have been unable to live up to the potential of this entirely too shortlived cartoon series. |
