You're always going to get anti slash people. It's not recent.
Numbah Two, try not to post off topic, and I think Numbuh 28 was agreeing with you.

I don't really care about slash. Hey, it happens in the real world. Why not here?
<Off-Topic> Oh, you were agreeing with me. I seriously need to stop jumping to conclusions. ^^;
<Another Off-Topic> Woot! I'm a cadet!

I'm kinda anti-slash.
It isn't that there's anything wrong with it, it's just that slash seems to have become a fad, and I can't stand fads.

lol you're like my friend Kai...he won't watch any anime thats gone mainstream in america....which is stupid since that means he won;t watch naruto or yyh wit me! ;_;
but yeah slash has become "cool" supposebly...thats why there are so many bi people at school(half of which im pretty sure are just saying they are)

^__^ Wouldn't say I'm averse to the mainstream, just to fads (not always the same thing).
Slash just annoys me because... well, it's kinda like what you said... some people slash just for the sake of slashing. Like when 1/4 burst into popularity almost overnight. No offense to 1/4 fans, but that to me strikes of a "it happened just because its slash" without any real backing, kinda like all those Harry/Draco slashfics that they have in the Harry Potter fandom.
Granted, I grew averse to slash at around the same time I realized that being into fictional couples was silly, and a lot of what I have against slash goes for hetero couples too.
