Actually that was the point. It was just supposed to show one of the alternate reasons as to why they can't. Of course they can't anyways, but to anyone who thinks that it would be possible, this is just what would happen. OOOOOoooooooooooohhh. And I agree that they're adopted (Except maybe the blondies, as Tako pointed out) by Father.... But that wouldn't exactly make sense. He hates them now, and he liked when they were turned into sheep...

I don't think he said ever that he hated them, only that he liked them better as sheep. But I'm not exactly an expert, considering that the only episode with Father that I've seen is KISS. And he only had two lines.
I don't see a logical reason why he'd hate the Delightful Children. He does spoil them, and they're useful to him.

If you haven't seen him much, you've missed a lot of yelling, ect.
I remember from GRADUATION:
DCFDTL: Congratulations are in order, Father! Father: Yes! We've finally finished off those KND!! HAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!! DCFDTL: Hehehehe Father: QUIET!! Now go get the bucket and clean all this up!! It smells like a poo museum!! DCFDTL: Aww... Father: Kids these days, they're whining and whining for pets, but DO THEY EVER CLEAN UP AFTER THEM?! Nooo!!
And GROW-UP:
Father: I am most unsatisfied... DCFDTL: Yes.... Father.... Father: Those KND weren't anything bad at first. I sent you to take care of such a minor annoyance. But they constantly interfere with my schemes to RULE THE WORLD!! *DCFDTL cringe* That ANGERS me... I will no longer tolerate such ignorance! Destroy the KND, OR ELSE!!!!!!

Thanks for the quotes.
I know he yells at them, but that doesn't mean he hates them. They're just tools to him. Would you hate... um... a tool that doesn't always work, but is useful when it does? *Curses her problems with making analogies*

If these are 'tools' to him, he obviously doesn't love them at all, does he?

Obviously, but that doesn't mean he hates them. I don't think he has strong feelings about them beyond annoyance at their constant failures.

They're just tools to him. Would you hate... um... a tool that doesn't always work, but is useful when it does? *Curses her problems with making analogies* An analogy to support (sort of) your position. Consider a man who loves his power tools; they're just tools, but they're like his children. I don't think Father hates the Delightful Children. He doesn't like them, and he certainly doesn't love them. Like you guys said, they're tools to him, very much expendable. As far as their origins, I support kidnap and brainwash. We've seen in Op: A.R.C.H.I.V.E. and all the other episodes especially that Mr. Wigglestein hates kids. Why would he want to have some of his own? Then he would be legally responsible for them. If he kidnapped them, there would be no ramifications if he were to recklessly neglect them... sort of.

Kidnap would be fun, but I prefer adoption. Wouldn't the children's parents miss them? And they'd try and find them, and the Delightful Children attend a public school, so they wouldn't be too hard to find.
Besides, if they were adopted, Father could go on about how grateful they should be that someone adopted them at all. Tha would probably help in the brainwashing.

I think they would be best as brother and sister, i just cant see a couple happening. Ive always liked the idea of tall dude/lenny being really good friends.... oh well. But i do think that they (bow girl and short boy) make a really cute brother/sister thing, considering the fact that they look alot different then the other Delightfulls.

Heh heh A bit off topic, but what do you wanna bet that "This place smells like a poo museum!" is Maurice LaMarch's (spelling?) favorite line in this show? Back on topic: I think that the delightful children were likely adopted. They really don't seem related to each other, just like they've had their brains synched up. But then again, in F.O.U.N.T.A.I.N. when the KND were made younger, they seemed to revert physically the way they had grown up. You can tell this because when they all return to their proper ages at the end, Numbuh 1 temporarily has some hair on his head as he becomes his regular age. So, wouldn't the delightful children NOT be mentally linked as babies if they had been adopted and then linked together later? But they ARE! You can even hear them say "Waga BOO!" at the same time as they try to pilot their machine in their infant stage. Hmm.... questions, questions.

I've only seen the very end of FOUNTAIN, but I know that their memories are still intact when they get splashed with the water. Maybe the Delightful Children's mental link thing is like their memories and wasn't changed.
