I'm quite sure that they wouldn't go back and change episodes. Most likely the "having heard something different the first time" phenomenon is just your memories playing tricks on you.
I've had it happen to me for a few shows, but never KND.

I think the first few times I've seen Operation: LICE, it sounded like Wally, returning Abby's hat to her, said, "Here's your hat back, Numbuh *Four*." But after a while and seeing the ep again, he says Numbuh Five. Maybe my memory really was playing tricks on me.

The weird thing is that my brother remembers it too with the same voice.

I doubt they do change them, it's probably just a psychological thing. The same thing has happened to me a lot too! I can't recall any ones from KND at the moment, but I remember a particular scene in Johnny Bravo where part of the script changed for a while, then went back to the original. I guess I'll never find out if it really did happen or if I imagined the whole thing! To be honest, though, it would probably be really fiddly trying to make small changes like that to episodes but ya never know. *shrugs* After all that I got nothing

Actually, yeah. Something like that happened to me as well. In Operation: LIZZIE, even though the last time I saw it on television was about 2 years ago, I still remember Lizzie quite clearly saying, "Oh no, I won't let them take you Nigel." (BTW: This was when they finally had brainwashed Numbuh 1 underneath all that icky stuff..) So recently, I finally downloaded it, and saw it for the first time in 2 years. (Haleluia!) I watch it, and no matter how many times I replayed it, Lizzie suddenly says, "Oh no, I won't let her take you Nigel." Her? What happened to them?
Ah well.. some things are better yet unsolved.

What's odd is I remember her saying "them" too, and I tend to not imagine things like this. I guess I'll have to check. But if you've seen it recently then there's little room for doubt anyway. As for changing episodes, it's normally not big practice for companies to edit shows after they air them, except to cut out scenes so they can squeeze in more commercials (that tends to happen like, decades down the line). The only companies I'm aware of who have been known to edit their cartoons are Hanna-Barbera and Disney, and HB's track record for edits consist only of two episodes of Jonny Quest (whereas Disney actually had the entire plot of an episode of Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers changed just to remove one character).

I remember how the USA Network used to cut entire scenes from Sonic the Hedgehog (the serious one) when it used to air it in the mornings. I wondered WTF was up. What? Really? What episode was that, and why?

Imagine my confusion when I heard Sonic was supposed to have used THREE rings in the final episode! What? Really? What episode was that, and why?[/quote] The episode was "The Pied Piper Power Play." The plot involved Nimnul using some sort of music machine to mind-control mice. In the original version there was a character named Mouse-O who was immune to this because he was deaf, and it was he that led the Rangers to Nimnul's hideout. Disney feared he'd be an offensive stereotype, so they editted the episode in later showings, and re-wrote the plot in the process. Disney actually did a good edit--I never even noticed anything was missing until somebody told me. I hear the episode still runs uncut in the UK.

Another thing that came to mind was in op.SITTER, I clearly remember Numbuh 2 saying "Come have a seat next to Daddy" but when I watched and recorded it over the summer the "next to Daddy" part was removed.

Well, some Tom and Jerry cartoons are being changed. You may have heard of this, but they are cutting all the scenes where the heroes are shown smoking. Villains will still be puffing stogies, though.
Warner Brothers just locks un-PC cartoons up never to be shown again. Along with the infamous Censored Eleven, there is a World War II-era Bugs Bunny cartoon where he's outwitting Japanese soldiers, and more recently, episodes with African tribesmen (Which Witch is Which), Australian Aborigines (Bushy Hare), and any cartoons featuring Indians are taboo.

Actually I think the uncensored Tom and Jerry (and some of those un-PC Looney Toons) are available on DVD, so its more like WB just doesn't want those versions seen on TV. Looney Tunes has been a victim of censorship for DECADES. Though... who the heck would the "villains" be in Tom and Jerry? Considering every episode changes who is good and evil and in some there's no clearly defined hero or villain...
