So, in CLUES [Spoilers]
Kuki's Rainbow Monkey gets stabbed. After a brief investigation, Hoagie fingers Mushi as the culprit. After pointing to her missing fork, Mushi basically confesses.
But here is where I find cause to question:
Everyone was going to have turkey, but instead, the rainbow monkey somehow ends up on the platter. It's revealed at the end of the episode that Hoagie himself ate the turkey. It may just be me, but it seems a little TOO convenient that the forked Rainbow Monkey ends up where the turkey used to be, right after Hoagie eats the turkey.
So, here's an alternative theory:
Hoagie ate the turkey, then grabbed the Rainbow Monkey and forked it with Mushi's fork! Then he hid it so that, when the lights came back on, he could pony up his little investigation. He hoped that in his dramatic flair, people would forget the turkey! And poor Mushi... sure, she confessed, but all the evidence was against her, and she knew no one would believe her if she claimed innocence. Maybe if she was truthful, daddy would let her off easily, right?
But Hoagie didn't count on his grandmother, or his mother, or Mrs. Sanban. In the end, Hoagie's little ploy served no other purpose than to get an innocent girl in trouble [hopefully Mrs. Sanban saw through the cherade]
Thoughts?

You could be right.

Considering she admited it, no it's not possible.
More likely he grabbed the turkey just as she was forking it, so the platter was empty when she sought a hiding place.

Why would Hoagie fork it in the back, in the first place?Since he could be considered one of Kuki's friends, so I don't think he would he fork his friends rainbow monkey in the back.

I had always assumed Hoagie wolfed down the turkey when his mom went to answer the door when the Sanbans arrived. He was alone in the room for that brief period.

One more thing: Hoagie lacks the cruel streak to do something like that. Eating the turkey didn't hurt anyone, but "killing" a Rainbow Monkey, which he knows one of his best frends treasures above all things... that's just evil. Hoagie is just plain too nice to do something like that.
As he said in SPANKENSTINE, he's a softy.

No no no no no.
Hoagie brought Mushi an ICE CREAM SUNDAE at the end of SPANKENSTINE...even after all she did to him.
I don't even think he knows what the word "mean" is.

At worst, Hoagie's arrogant (mainly about his aviation skills, as seen in DOGFIGHT; and a bit about his sense of humor). But let's face it, the guy's a marshmallow. He helped his former partner to the nurse when he got pink-eye, AFTER said friend tried to infect him, and as Madame Hoagie's Gal said, sneaked a sundae up to Mushi, probably because he felt bad that she was grounded for so long or that she now hated him (in CLUES, she seemed to like him a lot, since she bascially glomped him at the beginning).
In CLUES, he probably saw the murdered Monkey as an OPPORTUNITY to first, distract everyone from the missing turkey, and second to nab the spotlight for a cool dinner mystery.

Could have, but he didn't. If he had, Mushi would likely have mentioned this when she was trying to get revenge.

Erm...not even plausible.
See, when Mrs. Gilligan (Betty) left the kitchen, you should have seen numbuh 2 licking his lips and going "mmmm...."
He didn't come back till much later...during that break he finished the turkey. But HERE'S the thing; Mr.Warbunton didn't want to show Betty carrying the pan because then she would've commented on how light it was. (That would have been TOO obvious of a foreshadow....and it would probably ruin the episode).
And while it was dark....Mushi hid the turkey in the pan. (If the turkey was still there, it wouldn't have shut completely would it?)
...even if that didn't happen....how would Hoagie finish the turkey, think of a plan to distract them and hide the rainbow monkey in like...a MILLISECOND?

Maybe, an anonymous person may have mysteriously sneeked into the Gilligan house, stolen the turkey, took the Posh Party Rainbow Monkey, stuck a fork in it, put it on the pan and got out with the turkey, keeping everyone else guessing.
If the turkey was still on the pan and Kuki still has her rainbow monkey with her, the Gilligans and the Sanbans would have had an enjoyable thanksgiving dinner, but I could imagine if Kuki and Mushi wore nice dresses and pretty heeled shoes for the occasion.

If that were the case, this scene wouldn't have happened:
Kuki: Mushi?! why did you do it? (or something along those lines) Mushi: Because, you kept hogging it! And showing off it's hugadaciousness! It drove me NUTS! Kuki: Oh Mushi! I'm sorry! I should have shared more! Mushi: Share? You don't get it do you? I wanted it all to myself! *cue lightning and evil laughter)
Doesn't sound like an innocent framed person to me. Plus, she would have brought it up in SPANKENSTINE, and in the flashback part of that episode you saw her fork the Rainbow Monkey.
