I went to see it yesterday. The wedding thing during the battle was one of those things that's kind of unecessary, but makes up for it by being really cool. Though I guess they didn't really want to depict sex before marriage?
What was up with the multiple Jacks? I don't understand how that was Hell. That was my first thought too...

Oh, and do any of you understand the meaning of the song, "Hoist the Colors?" I heard that back when pirates were all over the place, they sometimes used songs to communicate. I want to know why this one particular song was important and why it was a "dangerous song to be singing if you don't understand the meaning (as one of the pirates from Singapore said)." This is all I got so far:
Original Lyrics:
"[1]*Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the colors high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die.
[2]The king and his men stole the queen from her bed and bound her in her Bones. The seas be ours and by the powers where we will well roam.
*Chorus
[3]Some men have died and some are alive and others sail on the sea – with the keys to the cage... and the Devil to pay we lay to Fiddler's Green!
[4]The bell has been raised from it's watery grave... Do you hear it's sepulchral tone? We are a call to all, pay head the squall and turn your sail toward home!
*Chorus
Translation:
[1]Yo, ho, haul together, raise up our flags high(?) Heave ho, Theives and beggars (meaning the pirates?) Never shall we come to an end.
[2]The pirate king and his men kidnapped the sea goddess Calypso from her home and "bound her in her bones" (as the movie said, meaning that they bound her in human form). The power of the sea is now ours (the pirates) to control and with that power, we are free to roam the seas.
[3]Some of the men died some are still alive others are still sailing at sea -holding the keys that bound her and with Davy Jones to pay(?) we look towards the green light(?)

Ugh, I hate all the parts where Jack is having those hallucinations. It drags the story down and slowing its pace. It's like as if they had a few bucks to spare in their CG department and decided to do that awful scene.
But who cares about that! The main reason I watched this movie because Barbossa is back! And the epic battle between all of good and evil in the maelstrom! God, I haven't had this much fun since watching 300 a few months back.
And being the dork I am, I stood up and saluted the scene where they hoisted all those pirate flags.

I absolutely loved it. ^^ Although I didn't like that some of the characters I liked died. Come to think about it, a lot of people died. I didn't really get why the had to kill so many people.

Well it's a cool movie, but when I got up from my seat my pants they were like kinda down, down enough to show part of my blue underwear. I knew I should have worn a belt.It was really embrassing. good thing my sister thought it was my shirt.

Ah! There's a thread for this? Oh my goodness gracious. I loved this film. Absolutely loved it. The ending was so happy, and yet so sad at the same time. SPOILERS: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWaCEfdxvZsIf you don't like spoilers, then don't watch. - - - www.youtube.com/watch?v=kb9Tj5TEE1kMy first video (well.. not really a video) ever. That's me playing. I know, I know.. not so great. But I had no notes. Excuse the mistakes too. I got a little into it. XD

So, who's everyone's favorite character? I like Tia. She's cool. ^^
Of course, Pintel and Ragetti are sooper fun. And I totally blame Bri-chan from DA for that one.
I've been moog'd. T-T

I love the minor characters, like Gibbs, Cotton (and his parrot), and Marty. ^^ I don't know why. They're just so loyal to Jack. It's too bad Anna-Maria wasn't in the third movie. I liked her. Oh! Pintel and Ragetti are hilarious. - After Pintel throws his name in for consideration as Captain - Ragetti: "I'd vote for you." Hehe. Love those guys. Barbossa's awesome, too. Even during the first one, I liked him. Of course, I also like William Turner. Orlando's a cute guy, no matter how old he may be. And who doesn't love Jack? Okay, you know what? I can go on forever. I like everybody in this movie. Kind of like how you'd grow to like everybody in the animated classic Disney films. Gore Verbinski did a great job of bringing the Disney feel in this movie along with modern.. ness. He and Jerry are wonderful.

The movie reeked superb awsomeness. I agree with jerry brukheimer with the Maelstrom/whirlpool scene being one of the grandest battle scenes in all of cinema! My name is flighter and i approve this post. XD

Oh man! That whirlpool scene was intense! My heart was pounding the entire time of the climax. I was in literal tears when Davy Jones did that.. "thing" to Will. I felt like hitting him when he started laughing. And Jack's face? Oh, gosh. *holds back own tears*
This is a movie that I'm going to buy for sure
Another hilarious moment was when Marty (the short guy) fired that gun after climbing out of that hole in the floor along with the rest of the crew, and flew back in. The whole theatre was cracking up. ;;

Hmm, let's see, well, really like Davey Jones when The Flying Dutchman shows up. Especially saw how he died when his heart was stabbed. And Barbossa turned good ever since his reappearance in the end of Dead Man's Chest.
