I love music. Yeah, Nigel's definitely a U2 guy. He's a contemplater. *looks at picture of Bono* And you can't not see the similarities there. XD

Well I like Tchaikovsky a lot. He's very descriptive with his music, And Beethoven ofcourse but I've been finding lately that I've been perfering Mozart to his music lately, although I find Beethoven more facinating as a person between the two. Those two are like idealistic rivals in history. There's a Chinese pianist named Yundi Li who's very good, as well as another one from Japan named Saya. The Tokyo Philaharmonic's made some very nice composure's using classic Japanese instruments with traditional orchestra lately. They've also played a number of suites with a great depth more than usual. Members of them have also helped make some great orchestrated remake's of some game music when the Game Orchestra event used to occure (IT was this yearly show which various tunes from various games were played by an orchestra. It turned out some really impressive suites believe it or not. It doesn't happen anymore though. ) As well as helping Uematsu make Grand Finale and some Romancing Saga cd called Windy Tale that was absolutely beautiful. On game music, Mitsuda Yatsunori made some really nice cd's lately of folk music. And in his soundtracks he often uses this mixed with orchestra too, its very unique sounding. The Chicago Symphony made a really nice rendition of Mars, the Bringer of War. I don't know if it counts, but a band named Bond makes remixes of classical music thats really cool to listen to.

Sorry as well for getting off the subject of my own thread, but do you play any instrument, Kiyosuki?

How's this getting to be all about me? lol I play a tiny bit of guitar but I haven't practiced as much as I should, so I don't really to particularly aparent levels. I just love listening to all kinds of music. I've been practicing the piano a lot lately with a pianist lately. A real genius type. But otherwise not too much really.

Those two are like idealistic rivals in history. Ahhh, I used to be heavily into Tchaikovsky--specifically his piano works. Tchaikovsky is indeed a fascinating person to study...not only for his sexual preferences, but for his lifelong struggles w/ loneliness and depression as well. I think a lot of that was reflected in his piano music. As far as Mozart is concerned, he is definitely number one in my book! I don't think any classical composer could ever compete with him! And though he was mostly on the 'lighter' side of the classical music spectrum, just listen to 'Requiem'; it is simply breathtaking. But my all time favourite Mozart piece is Piano Concerto No. 21. What's your favourite piece?

I like 21 too. I'm pretty fond of The Marriage of Figaro: Porgi Amor, and Piano Sonata: Allegro.
