Well, The Quadruple bypass code, I think was givin to Numbuh 5 (and Probably numbuh 1) because they are the oldest, and most responsible. It's only to be used under extreme emergencys, and I think the reason that they should not use it, is because it probably shuts down the entire treehouse.. If they shut the whole treehouse down, then lockdown would release, and they could get out, But also, their defences would be wide open for any other bad guy to attack. See, If it was just Spankulot (or, in this case, Numbuh 1) They could handle that.. But if it were Father locked in there with them, They'd use it... But then they'd be vulnerable. My other theory is, It unlocks the treehouse, and alerts the Moonbase that Sector V is in emergency mode, and needs help, So then the Moonbase sends down help.. And If it's only Spankulot, They'd probably get in trouble  Hehe.. that's how i see it ;D |

i have a theory that the reason you can't use the bypass code is because if it's been entered into the computer, bad guys could hack into the computer and use cookies to learn the bypass code and use it to override any KND defences.

Yeah, Julie's probably right about it shutting down the defences. I'm not sure about the calling the Moonbase part. If Numbah 5 knew she would get a visit from Numbah 86 because of using it, I doubt she'd even consider it just to escape a spanking.
It is posible that maybe Numbah 5 doesn't know why you're not allowed to use it. Numbah 1 probable got the full details of it when he was appointed leader, but I don't think he appointed a second in command until 3/4th of the way through season 1. In fact when he put Numbah 5 in charge in G.R.O.W.U.P. might have been the first she heard that he was thinking about her as 2nd in command. I doubt he trusted her for a while after he lost his hair. So les go on the theory that Numbah 5 just got the Quadruple Bypass Code as part of a long set of authorizations and requirements and such.
So if Numbah 5 didn't know the penalty for using the Quadruple Bypass Code, then it's likely that it could be worse than just turning off the Treehouse. It could in fact damage the Treehouse. Maybe the code erases all the programs and files in the computer system so that no valueable infomation could fall into the wrong hands if the Treehouse was overun. In that case it would require someone from Global Command to reprogram all of the Treehouses systems or just replace the Treehouse entirely. In that case, I could definatly understand the never ever use policy.

She would get one if she did infact use the bypass code because Julie thought that they would get a visit from the moonbase. Although since Numbuh 362 outranks 86, I'm sure that Numbuh 362 would be there before 86 and if Fanny said something mean, she would make sure to keep her quiet. And he techinally didn't put her incharge. She just kind of took over since no one else would. |
