-They never (or almost never) lose a fight. They never even get hurt.
-They never need help... in fact it's usually everyone else that needs him (or her)!

What about if they get hurt or need help for angsting purposes?

I think that another sign of a Mary-Sue in fanfiction is when the OC takes over the story. I hate that.

I personally don't associate Angst with Mary Sue-ism (even though it does happen, since most of the reason these characters angst is a cheap attempt to make people find them sympathetic... like Cloud in Final Fantasy 7)

I guess I need work. I plugged in my character from my Thief fanfic, and got a 51. I was a little better with Terry from my KND fanfic, he "only" got a 34.
