Living in Quebec, we got KND in two languages: English and French. But i noticed that the translation in French is very bad (ex: they transformed 'Nigie' into 'Réginaldou' *shudders*). What would you think about seeing KND in another language? Freaky? Interesting? Totally indifferent?

Hmm...as long as the dub's good, I don't mind. And even though I usually prefer the original language of a TV show, I like to hear what characters' voices are in other languages.

I've never seen KND in a different language, but I've been in France before, and I saw Billy and Mandy in french. Judging by that, I'd hate to listen to Codename: KND in another language!

When I went to the Netherlands over the summer, I saw KND in Dutch. It was actually pretty good, some pretty good voice acting. But mostly, it was just really amusing to see the KND speak Dutch. XD

I have a bad habit of switching back and forth from English and Spanish when watching the KND dvd. I'm such a dork. It's really funny to hear their spanish voices. The accents are lost, though. Ah well. I just adore Kuki's voice, and Lizzie's is like far less annoying. I like how the Spanish DC laugh XDD it's so.. ; dorky. YES! They don't sound nearly as freaky. Actually, they kind of sound like a choir xD Father's voice isn't creepy, either. I don't know if it's just me, but like, in GROWUP the part where Numbuh Three is in Hippy Hop, if you listen in Spanish it's totally incoherent. Like, they added too much echo or reverb or something. *shrugs*

As for watching the KND in another language, I think it would be pretty interesting (depending on what foreign language it was being translated to) So the French translation is that bad, huh? I'd like to hear some of the things they translate.

After reading this thread, I put in my DVD and watched all the episodes in Spanish and I hate to say it, but I found it even more funny in English then in Spanish. They all sound so... adult. Lol, to bad it isn't in other languages on this DVD... ><

Hooray! *cheers* At least i'm not the only one Well some of the translation aren' that bad but the French version of TDCFDTL is kinda... scary (They're named "Les Chichis Gratin d'en face" 00) The voices are ok, even if n.2 sound freaky (Hoagie translated gives " Rémi" *WTF kind of look*) and everyone lost their accents but n.5, well, she got a Parisian accent xD

Hehe! I went on over to the Cartoon Network France Site, to see the other names, acording to them their names are:
Lil'Abby = Numbuh 5 Gadjo Basket = Numbuh 4 Cookie Sanban = Numbuh 3 Mimie Mermoz = Numbuh 2 Reginald Uno = Numbuh 1
I think it's really interesting.. I don't usualy like it when dubs change origional names, but it's amusing ;D *giggles* Reginald XD
I like watching Operation CATS in Spanish.. I just can't get over Mr. Huggikins "Yo Te Quiero!" ;D

Well, as I live in France ... ^^ I don't think the French translation is SO bad, quite the contrary ... (trust me ; I know what I'm talking about : a well-translated show, in France, that's very VERY rare, so when it happens, you spot it easily ...) I saw seasons 1 and 2 many times, so I had the time to see them both in French and in English ! Though, I prefer the English voices. (much better !)
Oh, and for the names, I looooove "Réginaldou" ^^ and I think the "Chichis Gratin d'en face" is funny, but for the rest I prefer the English names.
P:S: again, sorry for my poor English ; it's not my first language ... >_< )

Hehehe... that is quite funny. I wonder what they would be in German or Japanese? Oooo, Japanese! I really would want to hear a Japanese dub. Voice acting is taken pretty seriously in Japan, so I would love to know who the voice actors would be for KND.
