There's no reason why they wouldn't have had saloons. It was the 1850s after all. I'm a bit rusty on the details.

Yes, but would they have called them 'Saloons'? That's Americanism unless i'm mistaken. Then again what do i know? I ain't American or Australian. the Only Gold rush i know about is the South African one.

Yeah, you gotta remember, they may have been about the same time period (if they were, which I really don't know ), but they were still two very different parts of the world. Communication still wasn't the best it could have been. I stand by what I said.

When were the gold rushes exactly? The South African one was around...er.. 1890 something I believe. More or less the same or a bit before/after?

If only Numbuh 4 was from New Zealand instead of Australia. I desperetly want to draw him doing the Toi kaka (I hate rugby but watching the All Blacks yell war chants always makes my day, ;D plus it's something Numbuh 4 would do don't ya think?)

California's was early 1850s to mid 60s, so there's a couple decades of difference, I suppose. Australia's started about that time as well and continued, tapering off toward the end, until around 1880s.

Numbuh Four would love rugby, I'm sure!
