I'm SO SICK of being 13! I hate not being the KND's age. I still act too much like a kid to be a teen!! Why did I have to start liking KND too late? ? I know it's silly to care whether or not you could be in the KND, but I can't help it? What do I do?!

... You can start by realizing that there are KND fans older than you are. I'm 18 (going 19 in Feb.) and I know someone who is at least 21. So really, 13 ain't nothin'.

Heck, age doesn't matter. It's just the way you act. Many people who are defined "Adult" or "Young Adult" are really still kids at heart. Sure, the KND in the show kick you out when you turn 13, but ya know, some people start growing up then. No worries!

If Kids Next Door teaches anything it's that young people can do some pretty amazing things when they put their minds to it. Even disregarding some of the more fantasy-like elements of the show, you've gotta admit that a kid could probably knock up some of that 2X4 technology in reality if they had a little mechanical knowledge, access to a decent junkpile and no interference from adults (who might be understandably worried about what the neighbors would think of having a S.K.Y.C.L.A.W parked on the front lawn).
Heck, when I wa3 13 I was drawing up blueprints for karts powered by a full-size Ford car engine, a full-size working replica of the Sea Duck plane from Talespin and a set of steel exo body-armor. At 18 I went to college and learnt how mechanics actually worked. From 20 to 24 I went to university to study engineering and designed a working plasma-powered spacecraft engine in my spare time. At 25 I created theoretical blueprints for a superfast communications transmitter. And I have even greater plans for the future. Maybe in 2004 I'll actually put some effort into releasing those wonderful ideas to the world (even if it's just on a personal internet page), or maybe I'll just keep 'em to myself knowing it was enough just to have stepped up to the challenge of creating them in the first place, and bury 'em in a box underground so someone digs the notes up in 100 years and says 'Man, this guy was ahead of his time'!
Heh. Right now I'm listening to the theme tune from Enterprise, 'Faith of the Heart' (the full 4-minute version), and the final line is 'It's been a long road'. It is a long road to fufilling your dreams, but when you get there you'll be so happy and pleased with yourself. The earlier in one's life that one starts off on the road, the sooner one will get where they want to go, and may even find they end up somewhere they never expected to be that is even BETTER than where they expected to be.
Hey, if you feel *that* strongly about missing out on being a KND membuh, why not be the founder of a real-life Kids Next Door organisation? Nothing is impossible for those who are truly determined and if you put your heart into it, setting up a global moonbase should be a cinch (especially if you get NASA to build it for you by telling them it's for conducting science experiments in!).
Seriously though, a person's age doesn't matter a jot. Your physical body, small or tall, is just a shell for holding the incredible human mind. Why not make 2004, and every day of every year from now on, the time when you start showing the world (or even just youself - who needs to prove anything to anyone else??) what you can *really* do?

Yeah, I usually tell myself there's really no such thing as mental immaturity. Adults can act like kids, and vice versa. Helps me get through getting tonguethrashed at school day in, day out.

sick of turning/being 13? puh!
13 is an alright age! Even if your a teenager, if u love something, you should stick with it. Look if I get older, I'll enjoy all those memories I had when I was a kid. So if i turn 13 (on August 30th this year) I dont care! I'll still have good friends with me. So what if Kids Next Door operatives have their own ''rules''. If your a teenager on the outside, you still have spirit of a kid!
So being 13 is no trouble at all. What ever you like, stick with it!
These wise words came from Numbuh 99.
Oh yeah one more thing! How many posts do you need to go up a ranking

You're great.
Not only do you have an offensive (and character bashing) username and personal text, but also you bumped up an ancient topic... WITH NO USE!
