I don't know about idols, but I do admire a lot of people, among them: Ronald Reagan, Benito Juárez, Abraham of Ur, Adam Smith, Milto Hershey, Abraham Lincoln, Miguel Hidalgo....

I wouldn't call them "idols". I don't idolize anyone. Not healthy.
Since I am Catholic...I greatly admire Saint Therese of Lisieux. She taught us that to live a good life, you only need to do "little things" each day. That's the way I try to live my life...I try to live my faith by how I act each day. It's what I do, not what I say (which is something all these loudmouths in the "religious right" in this country should learn).
Jesus and His Mother Mary.
Also the two late, great Beatles...John Lennon for his magical songwriting (who inspired me to start writing poetry), and George Harrison for his inspiring spirituality. Listen to his songs from Sgt. Pepper on and the album All Things Must Pass. Wonderful stuff.

Tom Warburton- such a cool cartoon he's created!!! I admire totally his work!! and Juan Carlos del Valle- 32 years old, young mexican artist, very cool art he has created, very expressive, and he told me something I will never forget 'you, are the future, you're young, if you like to draw, then you will be famous one day' 'NEVER say you don't know how to draw' I use this quote with a friend, that is my student, becasue she's always saying 'I don't know how to draw'

If by 'idol' you mena people I admire deeply and some of whose charactheristics I wish I had (or had in greater abundance), well:
Baruch Spinoza -- There is something to be said for pure intellectual bravery coupled with an incisive mind. Charles Darwin -- And speaking of intellectual bravery, Darwin is surely one of the all-time greats. Also an all-consuming sense of personal honour and scientific integrity that's so very victorian and so very admirable. Bertrand Russell -- It's hard to think of a more startling example of intellectual width -- he excelled in everything he touched, from philosophy to political activism. Douglas Adams -- Funny and wise and witty and, so sadly, no longer with us. Alan Turing -- The father of my chosen field Isaac Asimov -- With one hand he enchanted with stories and with the other he unveiled the wonders of the Cosmos. I owe most of my affection for science to the good doctor. Carl Sagan -- A truly inspiring man -- he could explain the wonder and beauty of the sky without projecting our own petty concerns onto it. The text he wrote as an accompaniment to the "Pale Blue Dot" photograph haunt me still. Richard Dawkins -- The most lucid debater I have ever heard of with such a clear understanding of his subject that you cannot help but understand it yourself.

I don't think that I admire someone deeply enough to consider them my idol (except Jesus). These people come close though.
Jesus - I believe that this should be self-explanatory My parents - Same as the one above Lawyers - With all the stuff they put up with, I'm surprised they haven't gone insane yet. Doctors - They save our lives. Not to mention most people don't even thank them; and yet they continue to help us. Teachers - They have to put up with students, who probably don't even listen to them, almost everyday and not even get a single thanks. The salary's not that great either. Animators - They work really hard to make us these shows/movies and all we can do is rant about how it sucked or how low in quality it's declined when we should be thanking them that they still make us these things. Unless of course it was really that bad. Because, in that case, they shouldn't have made it at all.
