okay yesterday i started my period and had no "protection" with me. so i went from bathroom to bathroom asking other girls if they had a quarter. when i finally got one, the stupid machine was out of order! then i finally resorted to going to the nurse's office. she wasn't in. but the lady at the front desk gave me some protection, then i called home to change. the thing (pad, i don't use tampons cuz they cause cervical cancer) she gave me was big and thick! i am not a heavy bleeder. so i put that one on anyway, and took the remaining five things out of my cupboard and put them in my purse.

What an embarassing situtation well not really but it tends to cause lots of stress if I'm not well prepared for my period. I tend to always keep a pad in my purse.

What bad timing for your period. I usally have my own pads in my school bag just incase. You know reading that actally made me think of a time when this young special neede girl with down's had no protection and the teacher made me go out of class to find some. The bad thing was I didn't have any pads with me at the time but we went to the nurse's office and she gave us a pad.

Hey can't you read the title it says girls only.. And periods are such "eluded" subjects by men that they could probably never comprehend them. Pah. Really, why anyone would want to discuss their menstural cycles on a public forum is really beyond me.

Toilet paper works okay as a substitute for pads, as long as you get the real thing eventually. You should still be sure that you have some with you at all times. And... nah. he's mentally retarded, but i still hope someone beats the crap out of him. Why? Would that help him stop being retarded? And why would a retarded person be in your science class? That sounds more like autism to me. Autistic kids are typically as smart as everyone else their age, just severely lacking in social skills.
