I thought for a moment you were going to say it screwed her up so much that now she can't stay as a girl permanently and randomly switches back and forth (...Oh, great, now it's a Ranma reference. Originality fails me in the wee hours of the morning)
Hehe, I was thinking of this all day too. I was thinking along the lines of Heiny not being able to permanently be a girl because during the five years she was a boy she did bad things like steal candy and now must right all her wrongs before it can be permanent. Until then she turns back into a boy whenever she does something greedy or mean or looses her temper.
It could spawn a whole new set of adventures for her/him kinda like "Ranma" crossed with "My name is Earl."
